After greeting your guide at a central Liverpool spot, you’ll don a protective helmet, climb onto your bike and start your tour. Begin by receiving an introduction to the Beatles from your guide: hear of when ‘Beatlemania’ gripped the entire world, and how John, Paul, RIngo and George went on to become one of the most successful bands of all time.
At a leisurely pace, you’ll visit locations associated with the Beatles; see the high school at which Paul McCartney and George Harrison studied, stop outside John Lennon’s art college and hear tales of Stuart Sutcliffee, a bassist often referred to as ‘the fifth Beatle’.
Discover George Harrison’s love for the Palm House during a stop outside the elaborate structure; spot landmarks mentioned in the famous song Penny Lane; and then revitalize with refreshments (own expense) at Dovedale Towers pub, above which Freddie Mercury reputedly lived during the 60’s.
Next, continue to schools attended by the band members, and visit St Peter’s Church Hall, the place John and Paul first met. See, too, the grave of Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Field and Paul’s former home.
After a 3-5-hour ride, return to your original departure point and bid your guide farewell.
