Misrepresentation of services ....no segway tour as confirmed
, Jun 2019
The confirmation indicated that a 15 minute segway tour was included as part of the Malaga City Sightseeing experience. I was told by the driver and representative that those services have not been provided for some time. This is one of the things on my bucket list and i was looking forward to it. Also the driver talks on the phone all the time while driving. Isn't this illegal?
Location to pick up bus was excellent (outside cruise terminal) but what was indicated as inclusions on the tickets was incorrect - ie. walking tour and flamenco show. I showed our paperwork as I had booked 4 tickets but they said it wasn't correct.
Very excellent tour. Very easy walk from the ship to Stop No. 4 on the bus route - Paseo del Parque. The highlight of the tour was the Ciudad de Museos at Basilica Real Santuario Santa Maria de la Victoria. The Museum is behind the main altar and requires a separate entrance. There are some beautiful artifacts dating back to the 13th century. There you will see the sculpture and the "Tower of Life" and a crypt from Count Buenavista, a Spanish nobleman from Genoa. This museum is a hidden jewel and needs to be recognized on the list of spectacular museums. Don't miss the VIRGIN'S DRESSING ROOM in Baroque and Rococo style containing the robe from King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain
Perfect for the job. Went round twice in the morning between 10.00 and 13.00 - left side views / right side views. Bus had clearly had a makeover. The best audio system we have come across. The commentary, in a very clear English accent, was excellent.
All you really get is a bus ride around the City. The audio was awful. At least 50 of the video jacks on the bus did not work. Everyone had to move about the bus to find audio that worked. Without audio it was very difficult to know what was at each stop. You also had little or no information as to exactly where the highlight of each stop was located if you decided to get off. We chose not to get off and simply rode around the loop and got off and stayed off.
As with all Viator tours I have experienced there were no problems with our Malaga tour. The Hop On Hop Off option is the best way to discover a new city easily, and avoids unnecessary walking aimlessly trying to follow a map to great sights.
This trip was AWFUL!!!! 1 they didn't give us any directions on how to get to the ticket office stop 1 and we could not find it. We spent nearly 1 hours driving and walking trying to find it. 2 they did not explain that if you prepurchased your tickets online what you had to do bring your receipt with bar code, when getting on at first stop the driver will scan it and give you a ticket for the 24 hour period 3 they did not explain how the walking tour worked and/or where to meet for the tour 4 the guide did NOT have her microphone for the tour of approx. 35 people and we could NOT hear her at all. It was horrible! 5 what they show you in your walking tour is nothing more than you could find on your own 6 they did not explain online the option of a ticket with the flamenco dancing included. This is an option that definitely should be purchased with your ticket. Because of the expensive price ticket with not having it included in our tour ticket price, we could not afford to go, and really wanted to go. : 7 they need to do a better job emphasizing the time slots for certain locations within a stop before they are closed example: walking tour - and where at bull ring hours of inside touring Because we were not given this information, or find it in our review research, we missed the inside of the bull ring, which we really, really wanted to see. : 8 for non-regular travelers, an explanation of how to use the ear/headsets and the sound system would have been helpful. Luckily another traveler on the tour bus showed us. This was an AwFUL tour and I would definitely NOT recommend it. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!
