Good Mexican Food Tour
Leo_D
, Mar 2020
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Luis during our walking food tour of the Polanquito neighborhood. Not only did we sample many eats, but we received some background and historical context for the neighborhood as well. We will definitely go back to some of the places on the tour and to some of the restaurant recommendations he provided. I highly recommend this tour, and request him as a guide if you can.

I made my decision based on previous reviews and it was the right decision. It may seem a bit pricey but as first time visitors to Polanco it was worth it to taste the different foods, learn about the making and origins of the foods and to get a mini tour of the locale. It made exploring the area much easier having been guided to the best spots by Luis. It was the first time my wife and I have ever eaten a tamale and we loved it. We enjoyed listening to Luis and his enthusiasm for Mexican food.

What a great culinary experience, Luis our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area, the history of the restaurants and of course of the food we enjoyed, very fluent on both English and Spanish, pleasant and well educated. The weather in CDMX is outstanding so walking to the different restaurants gives you the chance to enjoy the scenery and to digest. Highly recommended

Food, history, culture, and more!

Our guide, Luis, was fantastic. This was easily our favorite tour in Mexico City. We not only ate amazing food (Tamallis, cochinita pibil, a magical dish in a traditional Cantina, Oaxacan mole, and ice cream!), we learned about the area we walked through, the city, and the people. The food of a country says so much about the people and the culture and Luis was the ideal guide to bring these things together. I can't recommend this tour enough. GO! You will not be disappointed, and you will NOT go home hungry.

Polanco Food Tour w/ Lois

We really enjoyed this tour! The types of foods & styles of restaurants were varied and a good representation of Polanco. The pace was good, we did not feel rushed, nor did we linger too long at any locale. We actually went back to one of the restaurants, Guzina Oaxaca, for lunch during our stay. Lois did a great job! He was very knowledgable, informative and personable. Lois clearly enjoys his job and is passionate about food! We highly recommend this tour w/ Lois!
