Meet your group, guide, and coach in central Munich in front of the Karstadt department store, across from the main railway station. After boarding your coach, sit back and relax on the ride to Dachau.
Pass by the town as you make your way to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. At the memorial site, start by watching a documentary film about the Nazi camp, and then go on a guided tour. See old photographs, documents, the administration headquarters, areas where prisoners were held, and even the “Arbeit macht frei” plastered on the main camp gates. Gain a better understanding about the seriousness of WWII and the destruction the German Nazis had on their country and the world.
Afterward, set out on your own, and explore the museum exhibits, as well as other parts of the camp that interest you. Later, meet back at your coach for the short ride to the SS (Schutzstaffel) shooting range in Hebertshausen.
The shooting range lies about 1.2 miles (2 km) away from the memorial site, and is rarely, if ever, visited by other tours. It’s the area where prisoners of war were executed by Nazi soldiers. Visit exhibits here, and learn more about the solemn Holocaust history.
Your tour ends with a ride back to Munich aboard your coach.
Please note: It's advised that you bring your own lunch, or eat during your free time at the cafeteria.

The tour guide/hostess was so knowledgeable and passionate! It was such a pleasure for me and my adult son to be on her guided tour! Please keep this tour always available because it has so much to offer in explaining such a dark history. This knowledge is so badly needed to be kept alive in today's world.
Martina was fabulous & gave us knowledge that she's acquired over her life. She showed us private photos & shared personal experiences with survivors & relatives of the SS. It left a impact I will never forget.
This was one of the best tour experiences I have ever had. The tour guide was excellent. She was knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate to the history and people who experienced this place. This was also very good value and well worth the money.
Tour guide was excellent. He did a great job of putting the camp and the history behind it into phenomenal perspective. He was also incredibly knowdgeable about everything he spoke about. 10/10 would definitely reccomend
Our tour guide Fransziska was an incredible wealth of knowledge, probably spoke English better than me (I'm American), and could elaborate with unique stories and deeper levels of information on every part of the camp and for about question we asked. Probably the best tour I've ever been on. I personally could have used another 30-60 minutes, but overall it is structured, moves efficiently, and you see all of the pertinent areas.
This tour was informative and well done. Gordon was a fantastic guide and his passion was evident. I learned more about this dark period in history on this tour than in my high school history class. Well worth it.
This was an absolute humbling experience. My daughter and I came to Germany specifically for the concentration camps, and the tour definitely did not disappoint. Our tour guide was Gordon and he was simply amazing! His knowledge was outstanding. He taught us specifics about the camp that we had no idea even happened. He went above and beyond for us on this tour. I highly encourage others to take this tour and definitely book with Gordon!!
Went on this tour by myself. I enjoyed it very much. My guide was Stefan. He was very informative and even asked us questions. Mind you this concentration camp was a work camp not a death camp so not the same effect as auschwitz. Also get to see the SS shooting range which something else. To hear the story of the shooting of so many Russian soldiers. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
The bus tour to Dachau was very humbling. We are very glad we took this tour, despite the somber atmosphere of the location. Our guide, Fredrika, was amazing - she told us so many interesting details about the camp that we wouldn't have learned from just reading the plaques and information in the museum. We also were very happy that the tour included the SS shooting range as well. It was another piece of the history of the camp that is important to include on tours. We highly recommend taking a guided tour of this camp as it gives you such a better understanding of the location. Hearing from a resident of Dachau also made it more authentic.
