Cara was a great guide, very informative and helpful. She gave us so much interesting background that the guide inside the castle didn’t provide.

Tour was well organized from beginning to end. Our tour guide, Cara, provided an informative history of the castle and Ludwig ll's life. Beautiful scenery along the way in the foothills of the Alps.

The painting and decoration inside the castle is not similar to other royal castle. The design has the individual sense and special. Fantastic!

Meeting Point was easy to locate. The bus ride was comfortable, and we had 15 mins to grab some snacks for those who came without breakfast. The story telling by our professional guide Sarah Owen was fantastic. The walk up the hill could be tedious for some though. Come prepared with good walking shoes, rain coat, and water bottle.

This was a good tour. It can be better organized to allow for more time at the castle. The tour guide spent a lot of time talking about the history of the Castle. Which is good, however, it was done while stopped on the side of the path up to see the castle. it would be better if he used more time on the bus ride back to speak about the history. the time you get at the castle is VERY limited already so it doesnt help that we stopped for 30 minutes on the side of the path up to see the castle.
Great Day Trip

This trip was fantastic! The castle and countryside were, of course, very beautiful and exceeded every expectation. What made the trip even better though was our tour guide, Sarah Owen. She had obviously done this trip before because she was very organized and helpful. Her story of King Ludwig II and the history of the castle was very engaging and really enhanced our experience.
best tour in spite of the weather

Our tour guide, Sarah, was professional and very personable. The weather was atrocious for our tour and she was able to think quickly to make all the right decisions for our group. The starting point was easy to find and the train trip by itself was very pretty.
