For your full-day Loire Valley châteaux tour, rise early and board an air-conditioned motor-coach from a central location in Paris. Travel through the rolling hills of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO-listed wine region in central France. Your guide drives you to each castle, which you will explore on your own with the aid of self-guided audio tours.
Begin your tour at Cheverny, a Renaissance-style chateau that has been owned by the Hurault family for six centuries. Spend an hour here wandering about the estate and its labyrinth gardens at your own comfortable pace.

Continue to the Château de Chenonceau, 30 miles away, a 16-century castle spanning the River Cher. Described as the Ladies Castle, the regal refuge was used by the likes of Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poitiers. Admire its Renaissance architecture and artwork by the masters of the day, as well as its rare tapestries, fine furniture, and the ornate formal gardens.

After lunch, hop back into the motor-coach for a 1-hour drive to the UNESCO-listed Château de Chambord, the largest castle in the Loire Valley, used as  a retreat by French kings, especially Louis XIV. Learn about how Francois I, who had the chateau built, left his mark on the architecture throughout the castle. Snap a photo of the double-helix staircase inspired by Leonard da Vinci.

Your 12-hour tour ends with return transport Paris.

Great tour and our guide Vincent was fantastic with great knowledge and stories. Didnt make us feel left out even though we didnt pay for the extra commentary. Just enough time at each Chatteau.
Only suggestion: meal preferences would be good - the fish terrine was horrible.
