Departure Time

9:00 AM
Begin with morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel. Bring your bathing suit, and meet your guide and small group of no more than 10.

Then, settle inside your super truck, whose large tires are designed to negotiate challenging terrain. Relax in your spacious seat and enjoy the onboard Wi-Fi and views as you set off into Iceland’s lava-sculpted countryside.

Along the way, listen as your driver-guide shares facts about the country’s volcanic geology, including background on the Langjökull glacier. Drive through the Geysir hot springs area, seeing the mud pools and water spouts from your window, and on arrival at Langjökull, don your provided thermal coverall, hat, gloves, and helmet.

Once you’re ready, hop on your 2-person snowmobile, and after driving and riding instructions, set off on your expedition. Follow your guide vehicle across the spectacular glacial landscapes, admiring the vast ice expanses around you.

Pick up speed as your confidence builds, and midway through, make a quick stop to take photos of the glacial wonderland and swap driving or passenger positions with the second person on your snowmobile.

After your ride, reboard your truck and head to one of southern Iceland’s most popular restaurants for lunch. Savor the Icelandic dishes, which vary from season to season, but which are always delicious and energy-boosting.

Next, head for the village of Flúðir and visit the Secret Lagoon (own expense), a natural thermal spring surrounded by otherworldly scenery. Change into your bathing suit and grab your included, and relax with a restorative soak in the warm, steam-clouded waters.

Finally, return to Reykjavik by super truck, where your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

We loved the day from start to finish. The glacier was beautiful and the cave was so cool. Plus, the lagoon was the icing on the cake. Our guide was wonderful too. Highlight of our trip!

The day we went it was pouring down with rain very windy we couldn't see anything no mountains etc just cloud! The snow mobiling was fun but again couldn't see anything just enough to drive forward we couldn't do the ice cave which was disappointing as that's the main bit with the ice cave! Although I enjoyed the tour I think if the weather is bad its not worth the money as you miss out completely on the point of the tour!

Hi Zoe and thank you for your recommendation. We are sad to hear that you weren't able to enjoy the views in the Icelandic highlands. The weather at this time of the year is a challenging one and plays a big part in all of our tours and creates conditions that can be very tricky. But thank you so much for understanding, we would love it if all our customers could ride in the perfect conditions but in Iceland that would be an unrealistic claim.

Best snowmobiling experience
kishaniu

We were a group of 10 people including our 2 kids. Raggi was our guide and we loved the way he talked. His driving was exceptionally safe in highlands covered with piles of snow. Was really patient and helpful even to fellow by standers stranded on the sides of the road. Due to bad weather we couldn't visit the ice cave. However, the snowmobiling part was the best out of all and the kids enjoyed it. Snowmobiling experience was amazing. Trip to Secret Lagoon was great as well. It was cleaner than Blue Lagoon.

Wo love kids and we wish that all kids could experience this amazing tour with us. A memory that will stay with you forever. Thank you for your review and recommendation, so glad to hear that you had such a lovely time. Next time you are here, we'll go to the Ice Cave.

Snowmobile Adventure

Raggr, our guide, was the best. He was very knowledgeable and experienced, telling us a lot about the towns we were driving through on the way to snowmobiling. Going to the mountain you felt very safe in their trucks (more important when traveling in winter time). Unfortunately due to the weather we had no visibility when we were snowmobiling and we were not able to go to the Ice Caves. It is the risk you take going in the winter. It rained a lot the day before. I felt it was a bit pricey for two people sharing a snowmobile, but they pick you up from the downtown area about 2 hours away from the snowmobile location.

Raggi is a top bloke and he knows more than the regular Joe, that's for sure. It´s really good to hear that you felt safe even though the visibility was poor and we were unable to take you to Ice Cave. Thank you for your review and recommandation.

Superb Fast Snowmobiling

Our guide was superb, looked after us well and the tour is worth the money. The car & tires were amazing! We felt special to be driven in that car. Our guide and later his helpers at the glacier put our health and safety above and beyond everything else. We recommend the tour if you are after something different, off beaten path, small group and wishing to see & admire the beauty that Mother Nature creates.

Tons of fun! Getting to the glacier...
Glenn G
, Dec 2017
Tons of fun! Getting to the glacier was a surprising amount of fun. The modified SUV's and vans they use to get through the snow and ice are impressively capable. Our guide was great and helped us to get the most from our experience. Unfortunately, the day we went the conditions were poor for viewing so it wasn't really a great way to see Iceland, but it was a lot of fun. We stopped at several places along the way to break up the trip and see unique things about Iceland such as how they bake bread underground using geothermal heat. The secret lagoon was the perfect stop following the cold ride on the snowmobiles. I appreciated that the equipment that was provided was in good condition and made the cold conditions tolerable.
