Why Travelers Choose This Tour
This tour visits small-scale wineries and heavy-hitters alike with all tastings included.
Let your guide handle the driving and relax as you sip your way through California’s wine country. After morning pickup at your San Francisco hotel, settle into a luxury coach equipped with onboard amenities including a restroom, reclining seats, and Wi-Fi. Hear tales of Spanish missionaries and Gold Rush fortune seekers from your guide as you cruise across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the rolling green hills and pastures of Sonoma Valley. Your first stop is the family-run Nicholson Ranch Winery, a villa-like estate nestled in the southern foothills of Sonoma. Taste fantastic chardonnay, pinot noir and merlot varietals while savoring views of gently sloping vineyards from the patio. Continue on to the world-famous Napa Valley for a tour and tasting at Madonna Estate, a family-run winery that produces organic wines in the acclaimed Carneros winemaking region. Indulge your appetite with a stop for lunch (own expense) at Sonoma Square Plaza, one of the largest plazas in California, and pick from multiple charming restaurants. Next, it’s time for more wine at Sutter Home, your final stop of the day. Sip different varietals in the tasting room while learning how this Napa Valley classic grew from a small, family-run operation in the late 1800s to one of the most recognized winemaking names in the United States. Back on the coach, savor the late afternoon sun and your wine-induced glow on the return drive to San Francisco, where your tour concludes in Union Square. Please note: Depending on the day of your tour, the order of the wineries you visit, as well as which wineries you visit could change depending on availability and other determining factors.
Rich was a great guide told us tons of interesting information about the wineries and the Napa Valley. My only wish is that Sutter home was not one of the stops on the tour, because that wine is so widely produced you can get it anywhere! I would have loved to try one of the ones our guide pointed out and told us about on our tour! But overall it was a great tour
Bus driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. He shared lots of information about California and wine country. We visited 3 wineries and stopped for lunch along the way. It was the best way to enjoy Wine Country in Sonoma and Napa Valley.
Would recommend this tour!!🍷🍷
Excellent tour with an excellent tour guy. Oscar was the driver of our bus, and he was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable on the tour. We visited three excellent wineries, and had the opportunity to explore to our leisure, as well as in Sonoma Square for lunch.
I enjoyed this tour and our tour guide (I've forgotten his name forgive me) was knowledgeable, friendly and overall excellent. I think it would've been nicer to have less time at some of the wineries and to fit in another cellar, simply to have a greater variety of wines to choose from but the three we did visit were lovely. This tour is worth it if you're not familiar with the area and don't want to drive !
We have been to other tours before and had a certain expectation and we were very disappointed. The driver did not speak a good English and he was not knowlagable at all. I expected for him to fill the time on the way their with facts and he failed really badly. We previously went with another company which was a little more expensive and totally worth it. This time they did not have the tour I was looking for on the day I was there so I had to go with another company and what a waist of money. Also the wineries and the wines we tried not very impressive.
The tour guide babbled constantly. Did not take us to the third winery the as advertised. Took us to a different one and asked everyone what they thought. Not one person liked it. We didn't get the only known winery on the tour. Someone at that winery told me guides cheat and go elsewhere because they have rules and they don't want to follow the rules. I'm not here to entertain the driver. Then, he dropped everyone else off before going to union square even though the tour says return to hotel not included. Didn't return us to the drop off point at 478 post as i paid for with the purchase price. Left is off an hour and a half late 2 blocks away. It was more convenient for him. Also, on the return trip, we were all sleeping and he wouldn't stop babbling about nonsense into the microphone. We're not here to visit him!!!! Leave us alone. I get providing facts along the way but other than that, please shut up once in a while!
Our tour guide and wineries visited were great but because of a passenger who choose to get drunk and use fowl language in the bus made the experience unpleasant for other passengers. Passengers who get drunk should be removed from the bus and turned over to the police.
