What better place to learn to prepare ‘pintxos’ (small bites) than in San Sebastian, unanimously hailed as Spain’s culinary capital. During this 4-hour cooking class, you’ll master the techniques begins pintxos, bite-sized tapas-style morsels packed with Spanish flavor and flair. Then, once you’ve finished cooking, sit down to enjoy your creations alongside wine. Small-group experience limited to 10 people.
Make your way to 1 Okendo Street, located at 20004 Donostia-San in central San Sebastian, for 10am. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by your culinary instructor and instructed to follow hygiene regulations by washing your hands and donning an apron.
Then, you’ll spend the next few hours learning about the origin and style of pinxtos, and making delectable examples of the Basque tradition, which typically feature Iberican ham, cheese, chorizo, and different types of fish.
Once you’ve finished, you’ll sit down to feast on your culinary bounty and drink well-matched wines provided.
