Visit the temples of Angkor and Tonle Sap Lake on a 1.5-day tour from Siem Riep, and enjoy the flexibility of a private driver/guide as you explore two UNESCO-listed destinations. Spend the first, full day in the Angkor temple complex, from the sprawling Angkor Wat to the jungle-wrapped ruins of Ta Prohm. On the second day of the tour, cruise to a floating village on a morning excursion to Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve lined with traditional fishing communities. This 1.5-day tour includes all transport by climate-controlled vehicle.
Combination tour to Angkor Temples and Tonle Sap Lake
Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Riep from 8:30am departure, then board a climate-controlled vehicle for a day of exploring the temples (entrance fees at Angkor own-expense).
The first stop of the day is the spectacular Angkor Wat, the largest religious building in the world. You’ll walk through stone halls filled with incense and shrines, then see the gods and demons that line the southern approach to Angkor Thom.
Climb into Bayon Temple, where more than 200 faces look out from elaborate towers, and see the stone animals at the Elephant Terrace. Pause for lunch within the temples, then head to Ta Prohm, among the most atmospheric of Angkor’s temples, with tree roots wrapping crumbling stone structures. Catch a sunset at Pre Rup temple, finishing the day with drop-off at your hotel.
Day 2: Half-day tour of Tonle Sap Lake
Meet the guide at your hotel for 8am departure, then travel to Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Upon arrival at the lake join a scenic cruise to a floating village, passing small communities, farms, and aquaculture at the edge of the water.
Following your time at Tonle Sap, return to Siem Riep for a final stop at Artisans d’Angkor, ideal for browsing high-quality, locally-made handicrafts. This tour concludes with 12pm drop-off in Siem Riep.

We have waited a long time for this...

We have waited a long time for this experience and it was no disappointment. The car was comfortable, the driver excellent and I cannot speak too highly of Mr. Setha. His explanations regarding the many temples making up the Angkor Wat complex and the tour around Tonle Sap were first class. His English is extremely good and the attention he paid to making our understanding as wide as possible in such a short space of time was exceptional. We have no hesitation in recommending him and his driver.
Visiting Angkor Wat definitely requires a lot of time and effort, however this tour covers the 3 main temples to visit and helped us a lot as we were travelling with young children.
Weather in Cambodia can be really exigent, so having a private transfer is very convenient.
Also Tonle Sap was a wonderful surprise. We drop by an small village along the way and that helped us understand a bit better how Cambodia really moves along with the lake
Guide was good and knowledgeable, and gave us great explanations.
Transport was good and punctual.
Definitely highly recommended
