Upon hotel pickup in Johannesburg in the early morning by private vehicle, head to one of Africa's largest game reserves. The trip to Kruger National Park takes about 5 hours, including breakfast and coffee stops en route (own expense).
After check-in at the gate, you'll immediately begin the day's game drive aboard an open or closed vehicle, depending on the option selected at booking. Receive personalized commentary from your registered park guide, who ensures the safety of your private party at all times.
Spend about 1.5 hours game viewing before stopping for a picnic lunch at Afsaal or one of the rest camps. Another 1.5-hour game drive is completed after lunch.
Although a day trip to Kruger National Park is hardly enough to see the entire park, the Big Five — lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos — have been spotted on these safaris, as well as other diverse mammals and bird species in the varied terrain.
Departing Kruger National Park in the afternoon, you'll arrive back in Johannesburg after dark.
