Great Experience and Tour Guide
, Jun 2019
Plitvice lakes are out of this world. The tour was great from start to finish. Mini van was modern with chargers and AC. Tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable. Definitely highly recommended from my end.
The day was cold and rainy. What made the tour great was our guide Elena. She was informative and sweet. She even carried a couple's two year old up the steepest part of the hike. The restaurant we visited afterwards was one of the best Croatian meals we had during our trip. Trust Elena when she says to try the cheese pancakes- sort of like a blintz. Thank you Elena for the great pictures and wonderful tour!
If you’re looking for an easy way to get to park and see some of the falls, I would definitely recommend this tour. The small group was about 15 of us. Our guide was very nice and told us a lot of info on the bus ride. There is one stop there and back and Wi-Fi on the bus. The bus ride was comfortable and we had a good driver. Our group chose to just meet with our guide and have her tell us about some of the falls versus wearing headsets. That was an option though. There wasn’t too much info being said during the 3 hour tour. The walk is pretty flat with a few steady uphill climbs. It was very helpful having a guide lead us along the way since the park is quite large and busy. You take a very short 1 min boat ride right when you arrive to take you to the upper falls. You will also take a 5 min tram ride down to the lower falls. After the tour we stopped by a restaurant outside the park for lunch that was very nice. Everything was timed well and we got back into town at 7:30pm. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking to see the park in a day.
We recently went on a tour with Plitvice with Elena and could not recommend her and this experience more highly. She was so incredibly informative, hilarious, and gave us not only information about Plitvice but also about Split. We felt so lucky to have this trip with her - even with a little bit of rain!
The weather was not ideal for this trip. Very cold and rainy even though we went in May (May 9th). Our guide Elena made it all worthwhile. She is over 6 feet tall, easy to spot and hilarious. She even carried a couple's small child up the steepest part of our hike. What a trooper! The waterfalls are spectacular even in those conditions. The restaurant we went to afterwards was one of the best meals we had! Take her advice and order the cheese pancakes for dessert. Thank you Elena for being such a wonderful tour guide!!
Took the tour May 2019, Alena was our tour guide; she was fantastic. She did a great job of mixing in information and allowing us to take in the sights. Plus she took wonderful pictures for the group!!! There were 19 total on the tour.
The tour guide was very friendly and insightful, patient and caring (despite only being in the field for 2 weeks). He gave very detailed explanations to certain attractions and also on the history of Split and Plitvice. He also suggested many places to visit aside from Plitvice itself. The scenery was beautiful, and it was well worth the money as we visited all the places we could have visited despite rainy weather. It was an amazing experience overall!
