Overview

See the sights of Vientiane on this 8-hour city tour that provides an introduction to Laos' capital and largest city. With a guide, you'll visit temples, monuments, and Buddha Park, plus see some local handicrafts. Lunch and hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
  • 8-hour Laos temples and monuments tour
  • Visit the Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang), a national symbol of Laos
  • Check out the many Hindu and Buddhist statues at Buddha Park
  • Lunch included at a local restaurant
After hotel pickup, your day tour starts with a visit to Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple that survived the war with the Siamese in 1828. See its cloister of more than 8,000 Buddha statues, including the Emerald Buddha.
Next, visit the Luang Stupa, aka Great Sacred Stupa (Pha That Luang), one of the most important monuments in Laos and considered a national symbol. It was built to cover a smaller stupa that was believed to hold a piece of Buddha's breastbone, a holy relic. Then head to Patuxai, a triumphal arch constructed to commemorate those who died during World War II and in the battle for independence from France.
Lunch is next, which you'll enjoy at a local restaurant before continuing your tour to Carol Cassidy Lao Textiles. Learn about weaving and the process of making natural dyes for fabrics, and then head over to Buddha Park, a sculpture park located on the banks of the Mekong River. See various Hindu and Buddhist statues of different styles, including the largest Reclining Buddha in Laos.
Your tour ends with hotel drop-of in the late afternoon.
