The guide should have explained more about each place. Did not have much knowledge. But on the positive side he took us to one of the best view points on Windermere lake. He did put us a bit off by dropping us off at a point which was not our drop off point as he had to pick up another customer.
We had a great time visiting some of the very scenic yet less touristy places in the lake district. Alan was patient and willing to cover as many places as possible during this full day trip (9:30 am to 7:30 pm). We were able to take a short hike and a 1 mile walk to see a waterfall/lake. Due to time constraint, we skipped the train ride and visit to the stone circle but to get a glimpse, Alan took us past the slate mine and the Wray castle. The visit to Wasdale was worth the long drive.
