Your tour begins with a 9am pickup from your Xiamen hotel by private vehicle. Accompanied by your private guide, travel to the first stop of the day – the scenic Amoy Circular Road, where you’ll jump out to stroll along the coast.
Next, hop aboard a passenger ferry for the 10-minute cruise to Gulangyu Island, a car-free island just of the coast of Xiamen, renowned for its colonial architecture and beautiful parks. After exploring the island and browsing the shops for souvenirs, enjoy a guided tour of the Shuzhuang Garden, a picturesque seaside villa surrounded by traditional Chinese-style gardens. You’ll also have chance to visit the unique Piano Museum, home to more than 70 rare and antique pianos from all around the globe.
After lunch (own expense), head back to the mainland to marvel at the South Putuo Temple, built during the Tang Dynasty, and step inside to admire the Buddhist relics, including a Burmese jade Buddha carving.
Continue to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, stopping along the way to see the famous Xiamen University, then enjoy free time to browse the shops and soak up the atmosphere along the city’s main shopping boulevard.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
