"The tour was excellent and quite extensive. The ship provided a shuttle to Volvo Oceans Race Square where we met our guide. From there it was 5 minute walk into the heart of Alicante. The tour included a tour of Castillo de Santa Barbara in the upper region of Alicante. You take the elevator up to the top. The guide offered the option of taking the elevator or walking down. We chose to walk down. We then strolled the esplanade which in similar to Las Ramblas in Barcelona. This is a strenuous excursion, so be prepared to walk about 3 miles up and down hills."..."

"Alberto is an absolutely fantastic guide--in fact, we wish we'd had a tour with him earlier in our trip, because we benefited so much from his recommendations. Really appreciated that he took advantage of the drive to educate us about the history of the area, including how climate change is affecting agriculture in Alicante. His knowledge of the cave itself was just as informative and relatable--our next stop was Busot, and we really appreciated this chance to see life in Spain outside of a tourist-centric area. The service at the tiny boutique hotel was wonderful and so welcoming. Every aspect of this trip was a delight--we are a family of three, including a child under 8, and we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!"..."

Caves and nougat around Alicante in a private tour led by a professional guide.
"Hands down, this was probably the best private tour I have ever been on! Ivan is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I learnt so much about Alicante and some history from Ivan. The Turron (nougat) museum was pretty interesting and I'm glad I did this tour because I probably would have never visited this museum and understood how Turron is different from Nougat (and actually better!). The caves were just amazing! Looking at the mountains, you wouldn't really think that there were these amazing caves. We also visited Buscot and walked up to the remains of the castle. There were stunning views from the top and Ivan explained the history behind the castles and how they were positioned and built. I really enjoyed this tour and I would probably visit Alicante again just to do more tours with Ivan. It was actually my birthday on the day that we did this tour and this tour made it so much more enjoyable! So thank you Ivan for an amazing birthday!"..."
