"Premier cruise for the price point. The food was excellent and they not only accommodated my vegetarian wife they went above and beyond with every meal to make sure she was taken care of. As with all boat tours things were on a schedule but nothing felt overly rushed. My experience, at least, did not feel like a party boat and everything wound down for the night at around 2100 but guests were free to stay up later in the common areas. The mattress was pretty firm and the light on the air conditioner was very bright. Other than that the room was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a shower and a large tub. Zero issues with noise, the cabin was very quiet. Special thanks to Jimmy, Dragon and the rest of the crew! Also thank you for the dirty martini with the olive juice! Guess they're not that common around here and it was appreciated."

"I would 100% recommend Le Theatre! But please do a 2-night cruise as 1-nigjt would be way too short! I cannot emphasize that enough. Service: Tom, Peter, Tequila, and all of the staff we interacted with were amazing. The service is top notch, and you feel the Vietnamese hospitality and attention to detail from start to finish. It is clear just how hard working the full team is, and it's the staff that make the entire experience so special and memorable. Also, we were lucky enough to take this cruise during New Year's Eve and the staff organized a special program for the holiday which included live music, games, and a special barbecue dinner. Don't expect this at any time of the year, but I mention this for anyone considering cruising over a major holiday. The staff said they also had a special program for Christmas. Ship and rooms: The boat we were on is quite new so it felt modern and clean. I love that it only had 21 rooms, yet the dining room and deck felt like it could accommodate many more. Especially after COVID, it is great to be on a ship with that kind of space. We had a junior suite (their cheapest room) and it was lovely and large enough for our two large suitcases, though you honestly won't spend much time in the room if you participate in the planned activities. Every room has a balcony. Food and drinks: The food was good and plentiful. There was a lot of variety and they will also make you special dishes if you have dietary restrictions. The drinks are not included and they are expensive for Vietnam (10USD per drink) but what do you expect, you're on a boat! And they have a 2h happy hour (buy 2 get 1 free) before dinner which helps. Activities: In our two night cruise, we kayaked twice, took a bamboo boat rowed by a local, visited a beach, visited multiple caves, and toured a small village on Cat Ba island. The staff run the same route each day so you feel that they really know their stuff and manage to find time for many experiences in just two nights/three days. And the views were, of course, spectacular. Misc.: I did a lot of research before booking this cruise and decided this company seemed perfect, especially for the price. I know there are some companies which are fancier and much more expensive but I honestly don't know what you would be paying for. It's not like the views are any different! Also, we cruised during New Year's which is winter in Vietnam but I think it was a great time to go. It was not crowded like it gets in the spring and summer, and it was still warm enough to sit out on the balcony or deck, kayak, and enjoy the views (sometimes with a sweater if the sun wasn't out). I would much prefer this to the crowded experience during peak season."

"Fantastic and luxurious room with a bathtub and balcony with views of Halong Bay. Prompt service. Food was plentiful, though the buffet lunches were nothing special, the set dinner was unique. Squid fishing was fun but didn’t manage to catch squids. Kayaking and bamboo boat activities were cool."

We were fed twice and given a free beer. Only extra cost was some cans of fizzy drinks on the journey to ha long bay. 10/10"

"The cruise was fabulous. The crew, the food, and the boat are fantastic. An air-conditioned restaurant is a must-have when you come back from a hot street. No need to visit the attractions if you are tired, you can stay on board. The timing in all destinations was just perfect, not overcrowded. Thank you for such a great experience. ❤️"

"Fantastic experience all around! Came and picked me up at my hotel even tho I was well outside the normal pickup area (JW Marriott). Van/bus rides were very luxurious/comfortable with 1 stop halfway. I did not know what boat I was getting on or what cruise line it was until after I arrived (and even then took some sleuthing - it was Athena) BUT it did not matter because someone picked me up right at the van door, took care of my luggage, set me on a bench to wait (slightly longer than expected) and picked me up and took me where I needed to go. Tour was beautiful! Boat was very clean and nice. They were great about my food allergies and made every meal special for me. Activities were really fun and informative. Highly recommend!"

"What an amazing trip! Our Tour Director, Mr Tim, was amazing - very kind, funny and service oriented. All of the staff on the cruise were so friendly and helpful. If you are contemplating the 1 night or 2 night tour, definitely book for 2 nights! The extra day events are incredible as you travel to a part of Halong Bay that is much less touristy and absolutely beautiful! The food on the cruise was excellent and beautifully presented. The accommodations very clean and very comfortable. Athena Cruiselines is a luxury option and we'll worth the few extra dollars!"
