Swargasuli Tower (Isar Lat) Tours and Activities
Also known as Isar Lat, Swargasuli Tower is one of the tallest buildings in Jaipur. Built as a victory memorial in 1749, it stands 42 meters (140 feet) above ground. You can climb to the top of the octagonal structure for sweeping views of the Pink City, or marvel at the architecture from the ground below.

Isar Lat is located in the heart of Jaipur's Pink City, across from the City Palace and about a block west of Tripolia Gate. Traffic here is often intense, so if you're only traveling a short distance it's often faster to walk. The Jaipur Railway Station as well as the Hathroi Fort and Bani Park areas (where many guest houses and haveli-style inns are located) are all about 10 minutes by car or autorickshaw without traffic.
When to Get There
The tower is open daily from 9:30am to 4:30pm; visit first thing in the day for the fewest crowds, as most people go to the nearby City Palace and Jantar Mantar first. Early-morning visits also help beat the heat of the day, which is hottest in the months of April and May.

Jaipur is chock-full of great photo opportunities, especially in the Pink City. You can get great bird’s-eye shots from both Swargasuli Tower and the top of the nearby Hawa Mahal, while the nearby Bapu Bazaar is the place to photograph colorful wares and handicrafts. For artsy photos featuring light and shadows, check out the nearby Jantar Mantar observatory, while the City Palace is the place to go for images of royal architecture.
