"Our guide Claude had an inexhaustible knowledge of the history of the WW1 Battles that took place around the Ypres area. We were taken to so many battle scenes. The Hill Sixty with its massive crater was one of the most fascinating. being able to view the private collection belonging to a local historian was gold. The war graves at Tyne Cot really brought home a sense the scale of loss of life that occurred. We visited on Anzac Day so the last post at Ypres was particularly memorable."

This tour is well organized and the guide, Mr. Bedford, is well versed on the details of the battles and history of the battles. I experienced that scars of a war fought a hundred years ago are still felt today. I highly recommend this tour."

"My parents are not very mobile, so this was a great way for them to explore the Old Town and it was interesting to hear about the history of the city of Lille. I learnt a lot without being overly bombarded with information. Our driver/tour guide, Maxime, was wonderful - very knowledgeable with excellent english and a great sense of humour. Pick up was on time outside Palace du Rihour/tourist office. We drove through many of the streets of the old town and went past sites such as Grande Place, Maison natale Charles de Gaulle, Musee de l'hospice comtesse, cathedrale notre dame de la treille, porte de gand, le nouveau siecle, Rue Royale, eglise catholique sainte marie madeleine. The CVs are from 1989 - they were clean and well kept. It may be a bit bumpy on cobbled stones for some but it was fine for us - the cars don't go fast - and the three of us really enjoyed it. We went late morning on saturday - I worry traffic on the streets around the old town might have been very heavy in the afternoon."

"Excellent driver, gave an interesting commentary in addition to the onboard headphone commentary. He started off asking where people were from and told them which audio Chanel to listen to, then did audio test to check sound, controls and volumes before we set off. He explained where we were going to go, history of Lille, the route, and was very good at explaining details about the sights, left or right side of the bus, etc, and stopped so we could take photos. Definitely recommended. One of the best tour guides that we have experienced."
