Easy to get to- good info- a little rushed past some sights
, Jul 2019
Get on right at Central train station- for Blue bus and boat- I order tickets on line before arrival and saved money. They did rush past some sights and i missed seeing them as the taped info did not match exactly (missed Anne Franks house). Boat ride was better than bus-
The boats are never on time and we had to wait 35 minutes to get on them at times. By the time lunch rolled around, we had waisted over an hour in lines. I would not recommend the boat option at all. If you want to experience the canals, pay for a tour and enjoy not waiting in line. As doe bus, it's not much better. Look at the route map, it only circles the outside of the of the best areas to explore because the roads are narrow. Buy a tram pass for the day and enjoy a day of exploring with a train system that goes everywhere and is 100% on time.
Great way to see the sights and get around Amsterdam

We purchased the Hop On Hop Off with Boat option and Rijksmuseum package. Well worth it. The canal boat tour not only provides you with great information about the sites, it also us a good way to get around to the different places you want to see. The HOHO bus only goes around the outer part of Amsterdam, so the canal boats are a better way to see the sites. And the package deals are a great price.
If you need to explore the city, understand the history, this is the best option. The Tour guides are an additional help. Ask them questions, they will guide you so well that you will not miss any point of attraction which is not there in the route of HOHO too. Thanks guys for making my day
We really enjoyed using the boat option! We had the pleasure of THE most helpful crew, giving us into to help us pack in as much as possible during our Amsterdam visit. The boats were clean and tidy. Beautiful way to see parts of the city we would have missed "by land"!
