Why Travelers Choose This Tour
See three Dutch cities in just one day, without having to worry about car hire or advance planning.
Take one day during your Amsterdam stay to see other top attractions in the Netherlands. Board a comfy coach in central Amsterdam, and throughout the day, hear informative commentary from your guide. Enjoy a tour in Rotterdam, where your guide points out the experimental architecture that makes the city so unusual. Then, make your way up the Euromast sightseeing tower, 606 feet (185 meters), and soak up the peaceful panoramas of the city, the port and neighboring areas. Next, watch artisans at the Royal Delft make Holland’s iconic blue-and-white pottery, Delft Blue pottery. During the hour tour here, learn about the earthenware pottery’s origins in the 17th century inspired by Chinese pottery. After your Royal Delft visit, spend an hour discovering the charming city of Delft, a great place to grab lunch (own expense). Finally, pass through The Hague and gain insight into this historic city, home to the Dutch government. During the drive, you'll see notable sights and landmarks including the Houses of Parliament. Your last visit will be the miniature city of Madurodam. Your whirlwind Netherlands tour ends with drop-off in central Amsterdam in the evening.
Tour was basically good; However- we did not have enough time in Delft - totally rushed at the tour of the Delft ceramic factory. We then had a full hour plus at the miniatures park that was of little interest; tour guide was knowledgeable and pleasant;
The tour required an early start from Amsterdam Central as there were many kilometres to be travelled in the excellent coach. We were fortunate to have a mature, experienced driver and a very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and well organised guide for the day.
The drive to Rotterdam was very pleasant and the guide kept us informed about each major location we passed and its part in that it played in the history of the Netherlands.
Rotterdam was amazing to see especially the harbours, the new buildings, the indoor markets, the cube houses etc. A must see!
Delft was different as it had many more older buildings. A highlight of this part of the tour was the visit to the Delft fine china factory and seeing the artist actually hand painting the blue artwork onto the unglazed products.
The Hague was interesting and historic, but was more of a drive through in the bus the time given to this part of the tour was quite short.
The surprise part of the tour was the visit to Madurodam Miniature Park. It was so realistic, comprehensive and well presented that it exceeded all of our expectations. The 90 minutes or so that we spent there went too quickly. A wonderful place for both adults and children.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who has a day to spare in Amsterdam.
A full day tour was very good but time could have better allocated. The time spent at the High Mast at Rotterdam - with the very long queue and not too many options for lunch could have been instead used to spend more time at Madurodam, the Delft factory and maybe even at the Rotterdam Market for lunch - a half hour extra each.
Observation tower was crowded and we were unable to get up. Lunch was not good. We would have preferred more time in Delft and do away with the tower. Lunch in Delft would be better. Bus driver was fabulous but tour guide needed to be more engaging.
The tour was interesting. Without a microphone, the guide was difficult to hear. There's interesting history of the locations. Of particular interest was the pass-by of the Peace Palace in The Hague and the understanding of "two" capitals of the Netherlands. A tour of the peace palace would be a wonderful opportunity.
There was too much talking happening while the tour guide was talking. Several people behind acted as if they wanted the entire bus to hear their diatribe. I will never take another bus tour like this again.
This tour gave us a good opportunity to see Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague + Madurodam, all in one day. Would recommend the trip spend a bit less time at the shopping center near Rotterdam (was touristy) and Madurodam. Felt very rushed in Delft and would recommend devote a bit more time there instead. Our tour guide was good- sorry but I don’t recall her name.
