This was not worth the money spent 180AUD for two people. I've been on plenty of Viator tours before all around the world, but this one was the worst.
You get picked up from the hotel and go on a long drive around 1.5 hrs, there was about 9 of us in the small bus. You then get taken up the mountain in the cable car which is nice, but they cram so many people on you can't appreciate the views properly. You are limited to where you happen to be standing.
The best part which is why I gave two stars and not one, is being on top of the mountain. There are great views, really beautiful.
But then that's it.
We spent 2 hours up there, when really we only need 30 mins max. For some reason I thought we'd be able to walk around a little in the mountains... Even if it were just a short 30 min trek. Why else would we be up there for 2 hours!? After you appreciate the views and take some pictures, you're ready to go... But we had to wait. Everyone just sat down in the over priced cafe for most of the time.
You then drive home for 1.5 hours and that was it.
No tour, no guided information, no context, no history. Literally just a pick up and drop off.
What really got to me was the guide there is no real guide, just a guy who organises it who couldn't speak a word of English why is this advertised in English?, asked for a baksheesh, i.e. a tip, when he dropped us off, and got angry when we didn't give him anything. We just spent 180AUD for what was a boring, over-priced tour!
Honestly, for the same money we spent, we could have taken a bus taxi and gone at our own much faster pace and enjoyed it more.
This tour adds no real value to what you can't do on your own.
