This was way better and more exciting than I thought it was going to be, you hike through the rainforest, body raft through a river and get to check out caves all while learning about nature and the history of Puerto Rico. My son and I had an amazing time and Juan our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely professional and made sure everyone was safe. We were surrounded by beautiful nature and it was an amazing adventure!
Thank you so much for your words! This is the reward to our passion, which is sharing this private natural reserve with special people. I hope that you enjoyed Body Rafting among the canyons, a unique experience. Would you share your favorite photo from the batch that we sent you?
We hope that you can come back and join us again!
Outstanding day from start to finish. Transportation to the beginning of the hike was comfortable and on time. The adventure was informative and exciting - showing us that the beautiful island of Puerto Rico is so much more than gorgeous beaches. Our guides (Gabriel, Juan, and Hector) were professional and funny. The hike was challenging and the body rafting was a little bumpy, but the cool water felt great. Be prepared to get a little dirty and definitely bring comfortable, sturdy water shoes. Highly recommended for those who like to go off the beaten path.
We had an amazing time on this tour Great guides. Keep in mind this is a physically active tour. If you can't climb or walk far distances or swim don't do it my husband and I are 46 and 55 and didn't have a problem but we are pretty active. This tour isn't commercialized so that just makes it so much better.
This was my favorite excursion of our entire Puerto Rico trip!! Kelly was a great guide knowledgable, fun, and patient, and the rainforest hike, caving, and body rafting was not like any other adventure I've done as a tourist - anywhere! Since they only take small groups out twice a week, the trails have remained quite primitive unlike other places that seem too commercialized. We even felt like we needed to bushwhack through the overgrown areas sometimes. Given the circumstances, I was happy to learn that there are no venomous snakes on the island! Our group also hiked while wearing climbing harness so that we could hook onto cables to traverse the steeper, slick, cliff-side areas safely. I booked this tour because it was the only one that was listed as Adrenaline and Extreme. I'm not sure I'd use those words myself, but there were a few people on the trip who were nervous about some of the activities, and yet they overcame their fears and had a good time. My husband, daughter, and I loved it! Go for it - This tour will not disappoint!
We had an amazing time. Both Gabriel and John were great guides. The owner was very communicative and even met us in the morning to see us off. The excursion itself was a ton of fun and we loved it.
The only watch out is that it does require better physical condition than is clear from the description. The hike back uphill from the river is very challenging if you arent in shape. That said, the guides were very helpful and we were able to make it back up for a refreshing drink.
