Very nice and knowledgable. staff. We saw a Sei whale and lots of dolphins on our trip. One word of warning, when they say the trip is not suitable for people with back issues they mean it. The boat we went out on was a small RIB/semi rigid type and it was a very bumpy ride. My mother didn't consider her back an issue, but she was very sore for several days after the trip. If you are in any doubt maybe check to see if you can go out on a larger vessel, as I believe the company does have a couple of fibreglass boats in its fleet.
It was a bummer to not catch a sighting of any whales, but we saw three species of dolphins and got some great views of Sao Miguel in the process. The biologist was incredibly well informed and friendly, and she and the driver did their best to get us as close to the animals as possible during our outing. I would definitely come back, they made it possible for me to go whale/dolphin watching even though I was traveling alone.
This tour was amazing, we got to see '2 Fin whales and a Blue whale' along with flying fish and birds, the staff and crew were lovely , informative and passionate about what they did. Seeing the Blue whale was very emotional for everyone including the crew who don't get to see these very often, Top marks highly recommended
We saw two types of dolphins, which was great. The tour guide was informative. Unfortunately, we did not see any whales. The tour was too long. 2 hours would have been enough. Be sure to use sun screen.
Very enjoyable trip. Between the crew on board and the spotters on the island every effort was made to make the tour a success. We were lucky enough to see two whale dives and be escorted for a while by a group of spotted dolphins. Plus education from the on board marine biologist. Great time.
