Why Travelers Choose This Tour
Three perks in one: skip the lines and beat the main crowds into the Sagrada, and opt to visit a tower.
Make your way to La Sagrada Familia, one of Barcelona's best-known landmarks, to meet your guide and tour group. Get there before the popular site is open to the general public. Avoid long lines and be one of the first groups allowed inside. Before entry, marvel at the ornate exterior of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring sharp, soaring spires and incredible architectural detail. Follow your guide inside for a tour of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí's masterwork. Look up for dizzying views of 230-foot (70-meter) vaults, colorful stained glass windows and soaring ceilings. Walk down the five aisles in the shape of a Latin cross while listening to your guide's commentary about Gaudí's architectural philosophy and inspiration. Learn about the reason for the church's unfinished state; construction begun in 1882 and was only a quarter complete when it halted in 1926. Opt to upgrade your experience with exclusive access to the Tower on the Passion façade, where you will have a panoramic views of the city from a height of 215 feet (65 meters). Please note that access to the tower requires a climb of roughly 400 steps. Following your tour, you are free to explore the site further on your own.
Early access is a must for this amazing site as it allows you to skip the massive queues that start from early in the morning. It also means that the church is not as full and busy as later in the day so it is easy to move around and hear your tourguide, even though you have earphones too. I would highly recommend this service.
Wow I’ve been to a lot of beautiful churches but the clever thought and design of this cathedral is spectacular The tour guide explained so clearly the ideas and meanings behind Goudi’s design it all made sense So worth it Book early on internet don’t wait in cues tickets sell out before opening time 9am
Wow! Amazing place to visit! A definite must see when visiting Barcelona. Was disappointed that we did not get to go up in the tower due to high winds. But otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Maria, our guide, was really good.
I paid just to get in early, and I didn't get in early. There were two guards standing by the groups entrance and they weren't letting anyone in earlier than the general public entrance. The bigger problem was the lack of information on the ticket about where to meet. The ticket said Departure: Barcelona. Very helpful. One of the guards laughed when he saw that. It should have said Departure: Groups entrance. So not only were we not getting in early we got in even later because people were arriving late due to poor directions. Like I said, the guide was great and enthusiastic. Since it was early April the public line was no big deal and I would have gone that route since it was cheaper and I really didn't care that much about the narration. But again, the girl who did our tour was fantastic.
Paid extra for 10 minute early access and we did not access until 15 mintues after 9. I could have self toured and got in earlier.
Then the headset provided did not work. While attempting to exchange the tour guide left.
His microphone was on right side lapel. When he turned his head to the right, we could hear him clearly. As he turned to the left, background noise would make it difficult to hear.
Overall very disappointing.
Getting in early is important for this popular attraction. Also, the guide, Jordi, was incredibly knowledgeable and well organized. Jordi's passion for Gaudi was evident and contagious. The cathedral is like no other, but it is important to get a quality guide to explain the many symbols. The quality tour guide and the early access is what made this tour different from the many others available.
Great tour.. was glad your started at 9am before large tour groups came. Had excellent guide who really explained Gaudis vision. Take Passion Tower access..see entire city of Barcelona. This is a must see landmark!! Make reservations via Viator BEFORE you go to church.
