Breathtaking trip through the bay

The accommodations were top notch. Food and drink selection was diverse, and included everything we wanted. The activities kept us busy, but our group felt there could be more to the schedule. The plan for the evening was to fish for squid, but the light was broken so we did nothing instead. I felt our host could have made a better attempt to make introductions between traveling groups. Our room was located next to the common toilet, and we had a slight smell to the bathroom. The solution was to keep our window open. Overall, would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Very enjoyable cruise with delicious food. Our tour guide Rose was fantastic, very enthusiastic and answered all of our questions. The cruis ship was what you would expect, wuite basic but to a fair standard. We went to a surprise cave, island and kayaking ehich was fun.

The whole trip was above expectations. Transfer bus easy and comfortable with aircon. Boat, aircon cabin, food and service all above expectations and delivered with a good atmosphere. The scenery is amazing.

It was OK. To start, communication was bad between us, tour company, and guide. We were clear where they should pick us up yet they couldn't find us. Our guide was hard to understand, impatient, and frustrating. The scdhudule was very rushed and places over touristy.

Good cabin though I wished that they had shower curtains as the whole bathroom became messy after a shower. Good food but bad waiter as we could not tell him what we wanted due to the fact that he did not know English. Good scenery but debris floating in the bay spoils it all. There is therefore much to be improved on but nevertheless a good place to visit.

This was a lovely trip - mostly because of the scenery and the beauty of Halong Bay and the staff on the boat were very friendly and kind. The times we spent on the boat - enjoying the scenery, getting to know fellow travelers, etc were wonderful. The off the boat tours weren't great. The Cave and the swimming beach were so crowded with other tourists from other boats, it made the experience of those aspects not enjoyable. The cave was beautiful and quite spectacular, but way too many people being herded through at once. One the boat, the staff were wonderful, the food was decent. I do think one should not have to pay for water - or have free water at meals...this was a negative aspect. The room was really nice, but smelled like a toilet....so that was not great. I don't know if that is just part of being on the ship, or if that is avoidable and there is something wrong with the plumbing. All in all, a lovely trip despite crowds and smelly rooms.

Me and my partner went on this trip at the beginning of February. Apart from the weather still being a bit chilly we can't fault it. The boat was clean and spacious, the staff were attentive and the activities were exactly what we imagined. The food was exceptional and presented brilliantly, I have never seen cucumber, carrots and spring onions served as a bunch of flowers before. Halong Bay is absolutely beautiful and we would highly recommend this trip.
