Meet your driver and guide at hotel pickup in Langkawi, where you’re transferred to the jetty in the morning. You’ll board a round-trip ferry and embark for Koh Lipe once you’ve passed immigration clearance (passport required).
After a short ride, you’re served a welcome drink and provided with an overview of Koh Lipe. Situated near the border of Malaysia in the turquoise Andaman Sea, it’s a popular destination in the Tarutao National Marine Park.
On arrival, hop on a tricycle taxi to explore the island, led by your guide. Sunrise Beach is your first stop on the eastern side of the tropical island. You can snorkel in the warm, crystal-clear waters straight from the sandy white shore (snorkeling gear is available for hire). Discover an underwater world teeming with colorful corals and shoals of tropical fish.
Moving on the Chao Ley village, your guide accompanies you to the grave of Tok Kiri, an Indonesian explorer credited with settling the Koh Lipe. Snap panoramic shots of the island from the Mountain Resort, followed by an included restaurant lunch of Thai cuisine.
Then it’s time for a stroll where you can browse the souvenir shops and grab a snack like mango sticky rice (own expense) before the return journey to Langkawi. You’ll have the opportunity for another beach snorkel if time permits before your departure.
