Hike through Kinabalu Park on a full-day trip from Kota Kinabalu to Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore Sabah’s rugged landscape with a small group that’s limited to 15 participants. Enjoy views of Borneo’s Crocker Range and Mount Kinabalu, with national park entrance fees, packed lunch, and round-trip hotel transfer included.
  • 8-hour Kinabalu Park day trip from Kota Kinabalu
  • Visit a UNESCO-listed national park
  • Guided nature hike with views of Mount Kinabalu
  • See Borneo's diverse mountain ecosystems
  • Packed lunch included
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off in Kota Kinabalu
Get an early start on the day with 7:30am pickup at your Kota Kinabalu hotel, then begin the 2-hour drive to Kinabalu Park in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. You’ll wind into higher-elevation terrain and cooler air as you leave the coast, passing through local villages and fruit orchards with panoramic views of the Crocker Range.
Upon arrival at the park, slip on your hiking shoes for a guided nature walk on the park’s scenic trails. This is the perfect time to learn about Borneo’s diverse plants and animals, as Kinabalu Park is home to a remarkable variety of species: the park’s ecosystems include rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest, sub-alpine forest, and tropical mountain forest. On a clear day, you’ll have perfect views to Mount Kinabalu, the tallest mountain in Malaysia.
After your hike, you have time to visit Kinabalu Park’s Exhibition Centre, whose galleries explore the natural treasures contained with the park’s 291 square miles (754 square km.). At the end of the day, begin the return trip to Kota Kinabalu, where this tour concludes with 3:30pm drop-off at your hotel.
