Experience the amazing sights of Los Angeles without worrying about traffic or parking thanks to this convenient hop-on, hop-off bus tour, including 50 top L.A. spots. Whether you’re looking to cover a lot of ground during your time in Los Angeles or simply want to skip the driving for a day, this is a great option. Make your way to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, which operates as a hub for both the Red Route and Blue Route buses, or climb aboard a bus at any of the scheduled stopping points listed in the Itinerary below. Buses leave from each stop every 20 to 40 minutes from each stop, meaning you never have to wait too long. Then continue on a route that matches your interest and itinerary. The Red Route takes you past such L.A. sights as the Sunset Strip, the La Brea Tar Pits, the famous Farmer’s Market and The Grove. Meanwhile the Blue Route navigates past Universal “CityWalk” and the Hollywood Bowl. The Yellow Route includes Santa Monica Pier, Westwood, UCLA and the Venice Boardwalk. If you take the Purple Route, you’ll pass through downtown L.A., Little Tokyo and see the Frank Gehry-designed Walt Disney Concert Hall. There’s also the Orange Route, which passes through Marina del Rey and several LAX Hotels. Check the itinerary below for more details on the stops for each bus.
recorded messages and drivers don't stop at every stop....they called our stop as next but drove through it without stopping....we have to get subway back to our apartment....tour stops were difficult to find as not posted very well
The concept is a good one, get on and off in different parts of Los Angeles. The implementation was terrible: company indicates service every 30 minutes, but that never happened! More like a 45 minute to an hour in each of the three stops I made.
Good luck if you try this!!
The tour buses were always clean, the staff friendly and helpful. We purchased the 48-hr tickets and were able to get all but 2 of the tours. I suggest you do the entire route and get the pass with the free wax museum ticket.
You have to plan carefully as some of the loops have late start times and/or early stop times and one loop has only 2 drop off and pick up times a day, meaning you have to stay out there all day or make your own way back to the other loops. Stops are often a block or two away from the place they are promoting, so make sure you can comfortably walk tat distance before getting off, or you could be stuck there for uptown 90mins in some cases. Staff at stops very friendly and happy to offer sightseeing advice.
Loved all the neat info about the cities. Make sure you start early; it takes a while to get to a specific destination. Sometimes you can’t get to a lot before they close or before you have to meet transportation.
