It rained the entire time. It didn't matter. Almost incomprehensible except we were standing there, on the ocean floor. We stayed two nights nearby Alma to viscerally understand the water is forty feet higher at high tide. Good sized fishing boats beached in the sand floating in a bay twelve hours later. Regular shoes are fine as the ocean floor sand drains well. Rain ponchos for Cdn4 at the well appointed museum, gift shop. At least a quarter mile of trails and walkable ocean floor. Your non- East Coast friends, most of whom will probably have never heard of this, will be stunned at your descriptions.

At first glance as we reached low tide level, it seemed kind of no big deal...but we waited around for our congenial tour guide, Jordan, who showed us and told us that it was much more than what we were looking at. An hour later we had covered quite a distance, had a wonderful illustration to understand why the Bay of Fundy has such hi/low tides, some of the geology of the area, and stories of the formations and what is happening as time goes on. We even saw one of the peregrine falcons. There was still time to play in the mud explains those fun t-shirts. And if that's enough on your feet and knees, you can take the shuttle back for 2. We'll always remember Hopewell Rocks and probably Jordan!.
