Ron was enjoyable and knowledgeable
Glenn_C, Jan 2022
Seeing the Joshua park and climbing rocks. Nice day we will remember for a long time. We had a nice experience with Ron. Very Personal and friendly
Jeff is great - highly recommend!
Kyra_C, Jan 2022
This was a fabulous tour and an outstanding guide! My friend and I just loved Jeff. He was personable, knowledgeable, so friendly and professional. We initially wanted the 1pm tour but it was booked up on the date we needed, so we did the 7am tour instead. We're not morning people and grumbled a bit about how early we'd have to get up, especially on vacation, but in hindsight I'm delighted it worked out that way. Not only because it put us with Jeff but also because we largely beat the crowds. We had the park almost entirely to ourselves! Jeff is a talented photographer as well as a great guide, and I got some really amazing photos. The picture where the sun is bursting through a hole in the rocks behind me was timed by him almost down to the minute. He was like, something amazing happens in a certain spot at 9am, wanna see? Hell yeah we wanted to see! Overall a quick but unexpectedly well-rounded introduction to the highlights of the park. I've already recommended this tour, and Jeff specifically, to a friend who was picking my brain about JTNP. The tour is not cheap - at least not to someone on a teacher's salary - but I found it to be worth every cent.

Thank you Kyra! Jeff is a seasoned pro who loves his job....we are so glad that you enjoyed it!
Expensive & Missed sunset.
Alejandra_C, Jan 2022
Too expensive for what we got and we missed the sunset, which was disappointing. Also we were not giving enough time to walk through and be with the trees, we stopped in mostly rock areas. We wanted more connection with the trees. And there was miscommunication on the pick up area. But Joe was friendly.
Response from Host, Jan 2022
Hello Alejandra, sorry that you missed the sunset but we don't advertise this as a sunset tour mostly because the days are too long most of the year and we don't like to be out after dark in wilderness areas. We do try to accommodate requests from guests so I am sorry that you felt short change on time amongst the trees.
Great Tour for Families
Janet_L, Jan 2022
Mile long hike was amazing. Also loved the vista to the Cholla Cactus Garden. Our tour guide was great too!
Response from Host, Jan 2022
Thank you Janet! Joshua Tree is an amazing place and definitely worth seeing when you come to our desert!
Luck of a private tour
j11077, Dec 2021
We ended up having a private tour even though we didn’t book private, it just ended up that way. Our guide was AMAZING! She talked with us and took us places that a full van of people wouldn’t have been able to do. We went on a hike in Hidden Valley, went to take “U2” photos at “the” Joshua Tree, saw sunset from a look out 5,000 ft above sea level. She even stopped at the windmills and to get a date shake, which was excellent. If you end up by luck getting a private tour, be sure to let your guide know you’re pints of interests. She can you can also call the company to book a private tour even though it is not listed as an option.

Thank you very much for the kind words! You must have had Isabel, she is awesome and we are proud to have her. Glad that you got just what you wanted on your trip to Joshua Tree.
This is a very different park. Only one of a kind with unique rocks and Joshua trees.

Thank you very much!
We were in a van instead...
Stacy_L, Dec 2021
We were in a van instead of a bus as advertised. The guide did not wear a face mask in the van (which was packed and had the windows shut). We did not have the option to go on a hike as the listing advised. In fact we were outside of the van for a grand total of maybe 30 minutes, most of which was bathroom breaks. Visitor center on the itinerary was also skipped. We drove through the entire park from one entrance out the other. We made "photo op" stops at several random rock formations which was not what I came to Joshua Tree National Park to see. We weren't even able to see joshua trees up close -- it was all through the window of a moving car. Guide advertised that we'd see all the highlights, and condense what other people see in a weekend into 5 hours. I left the tour feeling like we barely saw anything. Not sure why this was $200 per person -- should have been no more than $100-120.
Response from Host, Dec 2021
Hello Stacy, I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your tour. We do conduct the tour in enclosed vehicles but not necessarily a bus unless we get a large group. Our guides will wear masks upon request but in order to be understood while narrating the default is to have them speak freely. At any rate, feel free to call our office if we can provide any remedy for you. Thank you!

Great history and overview of Joshua Tree!
Lisa_L, Nov 2021
Jeff was great! He was patient and wanted us to get the best photo ops. It took about 40 minutes to get out there from Palm Springs, so it would’ve been hard to take an actual hike. But, if you want a little experience with hiking out there, it’s good to let your driver know right away, so there could be a little time devoted to a short hike, as said in the description of this tour. Jeff was very knowledgeable, and accommodating. It’s an excellent overview of the park and the trails, so if able to go back, I’d know where I’d most like to spend my time. I’m so happy I was able to take this tour, would highly recommend this experience! The landscape is not to be missed it you can make the time. I went on the 7am and still had time to spend by the pool after I got back!
Response from Host, Dec 2021
Thank you Lisa! Jeff is a pro with lots of experience out there. It is his passion.
