Symi is a beautiful little island. The boat is very comfortable with plenty of space. Passengers should be aware that no food or drink is provided gratis on the boat. Everything is for purchase and you are on the boat for about 1 and half to 2 hours each direction. The boat provides snorkle gear/noodles etc. for anyone who doesn't bring their own. When you get to St. George Bay, the boat must anchor fairly far out from shore. If you want to swim to shore, make sure you/your children are good swimmers--It's a distance!. Otherwise, you can just swim around the boat. We took this ride in the summer. It was extremely hot. If you're doing the same, I would recommend sitting inside the boat, not on the upper deck. Also, once you eat lunch on Symi, there is precious little else to do that offers any shade, and you cannot get back on the boat early. We are not big shoppers, so we felt like we had too much time on the island. Get to the boat early! Parking is a disaster. The people who run the cruise said they would help with partking if we arrived at 9, but all their help consisted of was to recommend looking for a space on the nearby streets. Not helpful. There were no spaces nearby. Overall, a nice day!
