Sunset Dinner on Tonle Sap Lake with a Floating Village Tour

Great trip. The magnitute of the lake is very impressive, even in the dry. The meal did leave a lot to be desired, but all in all well worth doing.

Big safety concerns. Part of seat belt on the old bus was missing and unlike other tenders at the port our boat did not have life jackets. When asked the guide said we did not really need them in this (shallow) water. At a kilometre away from the shore, even if it was less than a metre deep, we had two children who would have drowned in an emergency. Viator should not list this tour on safety grounds. Crocfarm was pathetic. Food and wine was less than basic and little choice. Floating village was good but tour was not value for money

Initially we started viewing the custom of growing commodities such as rice and girds very informative,then proceeded to cruise along river and view sustainability along the water,(wow) things we don’t know! However the dinner was limited and cold lack of variety.guides were wonderful very understandable....would go back!

Really enjoyable trip. Picked up on time from the hotel, interesting tour of a lotus farm before riding in the river boat around the floating village. Lovely stop for sunset on a beautiful old ship, great drinks and food before the trip back. Your was excellent and a great experience.

Overall I felt as if the tour was rushed and a lot of time wasn’t spent at the places we stopped. We were so far from the floating villages while “passing by”. I would have to say my expectations def didn’t meet reality. I wish we could’ve got closer or spent some time there. However, the sunset was amazing from the boat while eating. The unlimited drinks were a great bonus! The bartender was so cute, I had to tip him personally. Reminded me of a cute lil grandpa

Thanks for a lovely tour! Everything, from food and drinks to the lake visit was top quality. We were mostly impressed with the tour guide! He told us a lot of things about Khmer culture that we didn't know. Only think I would suggest to dismiss is the crocodile farm, I think we shouldn't support this kind of "animals for entertainment / tourism" initiatives. Besides that, it was one of the best tours we have been to, a beautiful memory from Cambodia we would never forget.

This tour was excellent! The guide was very knowledgeable and the tour ran smoothly and on time. Would highly recommend this tour!

Nice and interesting tour learning the villagers way of life. The sunset boat set up was good. Nice food though felt a little rushed especially after dinner was served. The Tour guide could do with abit of professional grooming and body language. He was poorly dressed with his underwear exposed and torn trousers!

Really enjoyed our tour. Great value for the tour. Our guide Mr. Friday was prompt at picking us up from our hotel and was friendly and out going. More than that he was very knowledgeable. The lotus farm was super cool and we were taught how much can be done with them— from eating to lip balm to silk spun into fabric! Then we took a small boat that would fit about 10 people. The driver and his young son were great and professional. Beware of young kids coming up to the boat in makeshift boats with pythons asking for a dollar to eat or to take a picture. They are aggressive. The crocodile “farm” was ok. The large party boat we went out on the lake on was nice. It had a lovely upstairs deck to see the sunset while enjoying unlimited alcoholic beverages. The buffet food was a good spread too! Overall our tour guide was great and the boat driver was great too. We would highly recommend and enjoy again if the opportunity arises!

Great tour, it was interesting to find out about the floating village community and see a different way of life. The food on the boat was very good and we were not sure what to expect. Drinks were unlimited! Fabulous sunset. The tour guide was helpful and spoke good English. It was a great tour for couples but I am sure would suit families also
