    At Kitts Food Tour

Glen picked up this tour to replace a sick tour guide. He was fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed him and the tour!

Glen is an amazing guide, and I'm so fortunate that he was able to take over the tours while I recuperated from the flu bug last week. So happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Laurna

Great experience! The food was good and the guide was great. We got to see various parts of St. Kitts, take some cute pictures, and eat some stellar food.

    Walking and eating around StKitts
    marmac5, Feb 2020
Initially, the walk was fairly long along the sea front, but interesting. Stopping at the first food break at a hidden hotel which was a beautiful spot which had a view over the sea. There we had our first course. Later while we were walking back to town we saw a group of green monkeys. We then went to a hidden gem. Walking down a corridor to be met by a wall of huge orchids. Typical local food followed. We visited the church then a local modern bakery where cakes etc were available. As I was dairy free this had been taken into consideration for the whole trip. Even fruit was provided for the bakery in case there was nothing I could eat. There was, but we all ate the fruit too. We then walked through town back to the start. It was an informative tour. The food was good but the actual tour was of more importance to us as we saw things we would not have known about, seeing the real StKitts. We also saw many birds, monkeys and mongoose which for us was a bonus.

Thank you so much for your review! It was a bonus that we saw the monkeys on the tour. That was a first for me! The walk along the bay, is so worth it once we get to our first location. The views definitely make up for walk.. Laurna
    Good Food, Good Fun!

Our tour guide, Raquel, took my son (age 36) and I (age: retired) on a tour of St. Kitts and did a fine job of explaining the sites of the town. We sampled local food and even got to climb the tower of St. George's Anglican Church! The view from the top was epic! Raquel was pleasant and answered our curiosity questions very well. We felt like old friends by the end of the tour. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable several hours and I'd recommend this tour. Since it's a walking and eating tour, be prepared with sunscreen, maybe a hat, comfortable shoes or sneakers and your appetite! Note: The silly people at Viator who designed this survey wouldn't permit me to submit it without checking one of the boxes below. Yet, none apply since it was a father and adult son, not a father and child or teen. I checked "Family (teens) in spite of the fact that my son hasn't been a teen for 17 years just to be able to submit this survey. Duh...wake up, Viator.

Hello, Thank you for your wonderful review. Raquel is a warm and wonderful person and really makes a person feel like an old friend. We are so happy that you and your son enjoyed the tour. Warm Regards, Laurna
    Informative Walking Tour
    Christine_P, Jun 2019
The highlight of the tour was the codfish and Johnny cake samples at the beautiful Palm Court Gardens & Restaurant. There was also a sampling of BBQ, tea, and curry samosas at other venues during the tour. The guide was very informative and there was also a brief respite at a local church in downtown Basseterre.
    Great tour

I did the food and walking tour on 5/17/19 and even though I was the only one, the tour still went on. It was very interesting to hear about the history of Basseterre and to try the different foods. I highly recommend this tour.

A perfect way to get a feel for the town
    KELLY_F, Mar 2019
From gorgeous hillside garden appetizers to streetside BBQ pork to Indian takout my tummy was happy happy happy! With a perfect amount of walking in between to learn a bit about the town and island, a visit to a historic church and city park, and a refreshing glass of lemongrass ice tea it was a perfect day. Glen is a super friendly guy and I really appreciate him not canceling the tour despite me being the only person registered that day!!!
