Worst excursion we took.
, Apr 2019
Water transfer was not a catamaran as promised. No air conditioned mini van - Narration in opened bus, could not hear 3/4 of very long trip way too late for what was a terrible lunch! Worst excursion ever

Overall, this trip was very nice. Our guide, Smoothie, was pleasant, funny, talented, and knowledgeable. We rode from St. Kitts to Nevis on a motorboat, saw Alexander Hamilton’s birthplace and the first hotel, Bath Hotel. We then dipped our toes into the healing bath waters, and toured about half of the island with the main attraction being the Nesbit Plantation Hotel. It was on the Atlantic side and gorgeous. We ended our time on the island with a delicious lunch and rum punch at the Lime Beach Cafe. Then sat on the beach until our meeting time. The two downsides were that we were supposed to travel by catamaran not motorboat, and the title is deceiving because the plantation was a Hotel and not a plantation.

The boat ride and tour were fantastic. However, the directions to meet up with the tour professional were terrible. We waited around for 30 minutes and tried to make a phone call which went unanswered. Need to improve the directions.

The tour is solid and offers a good glimpse of Nevis. However, it might be helpful to clarify details in the tour description. For example, in the configuration that our six-person group experienced in mid-February 2017, the tour realistically offered only a drive by of Hamilton's birthplace, a fairly brief glimpse at the Nisbet plantation, and a very limited lunch menu. That said, catamaran transfers, an air conditioned van, beverages on board, and a friendly guide were very much in line with expectations.

It began with a great exhilarating fast 30 minute catamaran ride from St. Kitts to it's sister island Nevis. Hold on and enjoy! You'll get a little wet .Be prepared if you're prone to motion sickness. There's an open bar - my husband had Caribb beer and I had water. We then boarded small vans our total group size was I think 14 from 2 different cruise ships on a tour of the island passing the home of Alexander Hamilton, the oldest church and visiting a former plantation. We were then dropped off at the Lime Bar Restaurant near the beach and had rum punch and the best fish of our 14 day cruise - a deliciously seasoned grouper and yellow rice! Chicken salad is an alternative. The only negative was the beach - it looked beautiful but was rocky and as soon as I entered I was pelted by rocks in the surf that caused the top of my foot to bleed. My time in the water abruptly ended. My husband stayed a little longer wearing water shoes and collected palm sized rocks. The catamaran picked us up at the beach and we had rum punch and Ting, a local grapefruit soda. The tour is conducted by the excellent Blue Water Safari which answered email questions very promptly and courteously. We'd go again!
Coming off the Anthem of the Seas...

Coming off the Anthem of the Seas, We felt quite privileged going to Nevis in style on a private Catamaran with 500 HP. Getting there faster allowed for a great tour of the Island. Great guide named Evan Douglas, left us on a beautiful beach with a great grilled fish lunch till the Catamaran PICKED US UP ON THE BEACH, which is 10 minutes closer to St. Kitts, so more time at the beach! For under 100 per person, it's great value. So don't fret if the ship's shore excursion is sold out, this tour is better!
