Your day trip from Strasbourg begins when you meet your guide aboard the awaiting minivan in the town center. Settle into air-conditioned comfort for the scenic drive.
The first stop is the village of Colmar, where you’ll go on a walking tour with your guide. The town’s cobblestoned streets are lined with characteristic German-style half-timbered buildings, and you’ll even see some canals. See Colmar’s main sights, including Saint Martin’s Church and the 16th-century Pfister House, and wander historic neighborhoods like Little Venice.
Your next stop is the picturesque town of Eguisheim, known for its Medieval buildings decorated with flowers, and then it’s on to Riquewihr. The charming town sits inside Medieval walls, and is a warren of meandering alleys and chocolate-box houses. Enjoy some time to explore the pretty town at your leisure, including time to have lunch (own expense).
Continuing on your Alsace tour, the next point of interest is the 105-mile (170 km) Alsace Wine Route (Route des Vins d’Alsace). This scenic road curves gently through rolling hills and past acres of vineyards at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. Continue toward your final stop — Haut Koenigsbourg Castle (Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg).
The castle dates from the 12th century, and you’ll have a chance to explore the inside — including where people once lived inside it — and find out how this powerful fortress used to control the salt, wheat and wine routes from northern and eastern Europe. Admire the excellent views from the castle’s hilltop vantage point before climbing back into the minivan for the drive back to Strasbourg at the starting point of the tour.
According to the voucher sent from Viator, the meeting time was 9:30 am, but it was wrong. I received a phone call from the guide shortly after 9 am, saying that they would leave in ten minutes. I and my wife, who is over 60 and physically weak, had to run for ten minutes. What an unexpected exercise! Don't trust Viator. You may need to ask the details directly to the local tour company.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I spent a very nice day in the Alsace region. The group was calm and polite the guide was very nice and we learnt a lot with her. She decribed sone things with lots of details and answered all of our questions. The excursion was very well organized although we visit the places in the inverse order of the original plan but that was fine and somehow was an advantage.
Thank you for sharing you r valuable feedback with us and the other travelers.
We are pleased to read that we met your expectations while discovering the beautiful region of Alsace.
We hope to have the opportunity to have you back in another tour very soon!

Olivier was terrific, excellent explanations and knowledge of history. The villages we visited were fantastic and the Haute Konigsburg castle is among the best in Europe to visit. Very well-organized too.
Lorain was Like a friend bringing to you into his Hometown! He was fun and made an amazing trip with histories and courious facts about each place. I saw many places just in a day, I’m so glad to have taken the tour and had the best tour guide
The day trip started on time and Laurent was great throughout. It's a nice thing to do if you have some time in Strasbourg. I gave it four stars as it is probably a touch overpriced but I did have a good time. I think it would've been extra nice if the guide had more information to talk about between the towns, which may sound like asking for a lot but on other day trips in various other countries, this is often the case. But of what he did tell us, it was informative.
