See the highlights of Sydney in an afternoon on a coach sightseeing tour that takes in iconic sights, including Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. • Afternoon sightseeing tour of Sydney
  • Learn about the city’s history, and experience its modern-day flavor in one tour
  • See top attractions like Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and Darling Harbour
  • Walk along Bondi Beach, and visit Kings Cross, the old red-light district
  • Admire the historic buildings of the Rocks, and pass by the Royal Botanic Gardens
  • Enjoy views of the harbor from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair
  • Listen to commentary from a guide throughout the tour
Start your Sydney city sightseeing tour with an afternoon pickup near Circular Quay, and then travel by a comfortable air-conditioned coach on a comprehensive tour that introduces you to Sydney. Your guide provides entertaining and informative commentary about the city’s culture and history as you travel past iconic structures, historical landmarks, and lush gardens.

In central Sydney, head to the Rocks district, where the first European settlers arrived in the 1780s. Then drive by the famous Sydney Opera House and its lesser-known counterpart, the Conservatorium of Music. As you continue through the city, admire the green oasis of Hyde Park and the architecture of St. Mary’s Cathedral, which pays homage to Paris' Notre Dame. View the parklands of the Domain, Parliament House, Sydney Tower, Sydney Town Hall, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Campbell’s Cove, and Mrs Macquarie’s chair.

Head out to Rushcutters Bay where the celebrated Royal Cruising Yacht Club is located, and see Double Bay. Enjoy stunning views when your coach stops at the Gap, the entrance to Sydney Harbour on the southern headland. Then drive along the coast to popular Bondi Beach, where you can stroll along the expansive white-sand beach or pop into a local cafe for refreshments (own expense).

As your coach swings back towards central Sydney, pass through bohemian Kings Cross, Sydney’s former red-light district, which still has an edgy reputation today. You'll also see Paddington and Sydney’s Chinatown, then wheel through Darling Harbour, Sydney’s vibrant restaurant and entertainment area, which is known for well-designed contemporary buildings and lovely landscaping.

Your tour ends in central Sydney, leaving you perfectly positioned to continue exploring the city on your own.

A good overview of key sights in a few hours

We had very little time in Sydney, so this was the way to get a feel for the city, quickly. The weather was not good so we were glad to visit the beaches and see the view from the bus.

This was an OK tour. It was nice to have an air conditioned bus and to have free wifi and charging on board for devices. However, the hop on and off bus is cheaper and will give you the same features as well as being able to sit on top of the bus to see better if you want too. Just no air conditioning. For the money the hop on and off bus is the better deal.

Change of meeting place and because I lost contact on my phone with e mails I did not know and therefore lost the tour. our only full day in Sydney so gutted. Opposite side of the world and nothing. Need to make different arrangements for people to confirm meeting places themselves on arrival so this cannot happen. Not everyone has access to modern technology when away on holiday.

Good bus tour that provided overview of various highlights of the city of Sydney. In addition to drive-bys, tour included a few photo stops at which we could get out of the bus for short periods of time. Visit to Bondi Beach allowed about 45 minutes to enjoy walking on the beach and its surroundings. Fortunately it was a beautiful, sunny day which added to the enjoyment of the interesting and exciting city.

The title of this tour is misleading. You cannot claim Kings Cross on the tour if you are just driving by with no stop. The quick stop to see the harbor bridge Opera house was nice, but we were only allow 30 minutes at the Bondi Beach, barely enough time for quick photo and 1 drink at the bar. I wish we can spend a bit more time there.

I'm really glad I took this tour, views of the coast were fabulous, narrations of the neighborhoods were great! Plenty of stops for pictures. A really great tour!

We took this tour our first day in Sydney and it was a perfect way to get an overall view. Lots of quick photo stops were nice and the city history and factual tidbits were great. Not really enough time at Bondi Beach to dip our toes though but that is always a problem with short tours.

I made the mistake of booking this on the day of our arrival, so we were so tired after the long flight. It seemed like we were caught up with all the traffic in Sydney coz they had all these construction going on, so more time traveling than actually enjoying the places that we went to. When we got to Bondi beach, we were only given 40 minutes, so we had to choose whether to eat or enjoy the beach, mind you we hadn't eaten yet after the long flight so we had to eat! It would have been nice to walk on the beach, but we were starving, so...I would not recommend this tour, you will be better off doing it on your own.

I had only one afternoon in Sydney after I arrived as going to Auckland the next day. This tour is a great way to see the city sights in a short time. We had good views of the Opera House and the Bridge and some nice picture opportunities. Then we drove through town to get to Bondi Beach so saw many sights on the way to the Beach. I wish we could have stopped at the Opera House.
