Had a wonderful day with Simone, her mother and friend learning to make Lokal classic pasta dishes. Was more than a cooking course learned about her Trullo and the ways and traditions of the region. Simone made a great atmosphere and integrated all the international guests. We ate the meal together with lots of laughter. I totally recommend it 🥰
Too many guests and way too long

21 people in the class is way too many. We didn’t get started for 1 hour due getting every seated, waters, and the host asking where everyone was from. 6 hours long versus the 4 it was scheduled as it took a long time to help 21 people learn the right technique. The mother would yell in Italian at the guests doing it “wrong.”

Simona was absolutely fantastic! We were taught how to make a variety of delicious traditional plates. Simona also gave us a history of the traditional Trulli houses of the region and the hours flew by. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puglia
An Italian passionate pasta experience

Chilled out day learning about the Italian pasta passion! Informative, learnt how to make 2 different sauces and made fresh pasta and salad. We also saw inside a Trullo and learnt the history if these amazing buildings. Relaxed, outside setting but covered against blazing sin and torrential rain! Would not plan another activity the same day as this activity may last longer than you think and you want to be soaking in the experience rather than clock watching! Would highly recommend. A day to remember. Got precise instructions beforehand and this made it easy to find!

Simona is a very good host and together with her mom they were very passionate about the Puglian history and traditions. The pasta we prepared tasted lovely during lunch!
Wonderful cooking class at a trullo

My family and I spent almost 3 weeks in southern Italy, and we’ve done many cool things. However, this cooking class ranks among our top activities. It was warm and personal. We sat around a family table, met many other families, received pasta making help from nonna, and leaned about the trullo (including a trip to the roof) before eating a delicious meal we made together. Our English speaking host, Simona, spent authentic time with us. This is not for you if you want a quick meal and a chance to drink too much. We spent almost 6 hours at Simona’s trullo, talking, working, learning, and eating. It was an evening we will always remember.

The whole class was amazing from start to finish with the lovely Simone being an incredible teacher explaining the history behind the “orecchiette ” pasta shape and the Trulli. There was then a three course meal using the freshly made pasta as well as wine. The food was so delicious and authentic and this is an experience which I will be talking about for a long time as it was truly great. Do not miss out on this if you are in Puglia! Thank you so much :)

What a memorable and fun experience! Simona taught us how to make and cook pasta and a local specialty meat dish. We had coffees, wine, water and lots of delicious treats as we spent the day in wonderful company. Simona is so knowledgeable about the trulli houses and the history of the area. We even climbed up on her roof to examine the workmanship of the construction. The end meal was so delicious. We all had a marvellous day. I would highly recommend. Do not miss this one!!!

When we were lost Simone came to find us. We started off with coffee and a little conversation. Then we started making braciole….meat rolls. Then we made dough for the pasta. We made orecchiette with required a bit of time to get the knack… Simone’s mom helped us. She also showed us how to make various other types of pasta. We worked, laughed, we listened as Simone taught us about which pasta went with each sauce. We learned about history and did a tour of her trullo. Then we sat down to a great meal which we prepared. We lingered over wine and fresh apricots in her overflowing garden. It was a wonderful day and she was great! We were so full there was no room for dinner. Don’t miss this opportunity.

We've enjoyed the +4h programme at Simona's trulli home & garden very much! The workshop included making the traditional orecchiette pasta, beef roll and frisa with pommodori, with a small group. The atmosfere was relaxing and authentic (no tourist trap) thanks tot Simona.

Unforgettable day spent learning history and cucina of Puglia

This was the best cooking course I've ever done. Simona is such a welcoming and warm lady and taught us all about the true heart of puglia cooking. We as a family couldn't recommend this course more highly. We did not want to leave! The orichette and brasiola that we created together were delicious and we will definetly be cooking them for our friends and family in Ireland! Simona give us a really informative tour of her stunning trullo and all the history behind it. It really was an unforgetable experience were we made lots of happy memories.
