What stood out for us was the trip to the Tanah Lot Temple and the Unesco heritage Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. The weather was perfect for walking that day. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable at the same time. I remembered stopping at a hut at the rice terraces for coconut juice. It’s something you cannot replicate anywhere, really. What a view!

My partner and I had an absolutely incredible time on our Tanah Lot private tour. Our tour guide, named Suli, was very friendly, positive, and constantly anticipating our needs. My partner and I asked so many questions throughout the long full day trip, and Suli explained so much information on everything. It was absolutely fascinating to learn about the complex religious beliefs of Bali (a mix of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Chinese religion) the many types of spiritual offerings practiced (Suli makes biannual offerings to his car in the glove compartment which we found funny and fascinating), the community traditions and social support networks that connect families and relatives through the many tiers of temples from personal temple, to community temple, to town temple, to regency temple, and to the larger mother temple, how the local caste system works, the difficulties of the Balinese people during Covid, the herbal medicine practices that are well-connected into nature, the intricacies of how rice farming and the Sewak water sharing system works, the history and politics of the different kings and how they manage their regencies throughout Bali, and so much more. All of this descriptive background to the inner-workings of everyday Balinese life and culture really helped to illuminate Bali for us, which we would have never gotten if we would have just went sight-seeing on our own. In addition to the amazingness of our guide, the tour itself was incredible. I found Tanna Lot absolutely beautiful, and I enjoyed the delicious lunch in Jatiluwih afterwards. My intrepid partner was also in absolute delight throughout the jungle trek and waterfall swim. Throughout the tour, Suli offered to take so many photos and videos of us (at least a hundred) from many angles because he could tell how much my partner appreciated it. The itinerary of this particular tour also primarily focused on the center inland area of Bali which is off the beaten path for most tourists, and it is a great addition to anyone looking to get away from the main tourist areas of Kuta, Ubud, and Sanur. Both my partner and I highly recommend this tour, and if you take it we hope you enjoy it a much as we did.

We had a fantastic time with our guide Rio! He was extremely accommodating during our tour and made an additional stop for us since we had some extra time. I even needed to stop at a pharmacy and he made sure I was able to before returning us back safely to our hotel. He gave us great insights throughout our tour and made things extremely seamless for us throughout the day. We would highly recommend this tour to everyone!!!

This tour is great. It is truly a private tour. Your group and 1 tour guide. Beautiful sites, but just wear good walking shoes. Our tour guide Putu was fantastic. Learning about the island and the culture was great. He was informative, friendly but not too talkative like other tour guides. We liked him so much we tried to book another tour with him but he was booked. If you are going to Bali, you should go on this tour and ask for Putu!!

Another great day with our guide Enawan! We visited the great temple of Tanah Lot. A special spiritual place at sea. We experienced a ceremony and traditional music, wonderful! Enawan told us a lot about the area because it is his home. After the temple we took a one hour drive to the rice fields. This was an increadable spot! We had lunch and drove further to the twin waterfalls. The way up was steep but it was like a hidden gem! On the way back of the mountain it was foggy but we saw wild monkeys and the atmosphere was nice. Thank you Enawan for another great day and we will book again when we come back to Bali!

What a fabulous tour and an amazing adventure. Our tour guide Murdock was exceptional and very accommodating to my kids and mother-in-law. I would definitely recommend the Tanah—Lot day tour. Although it is a very long day you get to experience everything- temples, rice terraces, beautiful views and a spectacular waterfall. A truly brilliant day in Bali.

The entire trip was memorable. Each of the temples were amazing, the one in the ocean and the one in the lake equally mesmerizing. The UNESCO rice field was also quite impressive with its size and irrigation mechanism. The monkeys are also adorable and friendly. Every part of the tour was great, including Yogi as tour guide sharing lots of details about the places, people and culture.
