This was an experience you won't forget into the history of Vienna. Well worth the euros. I would do this tour before taking the Hop and Go Bus. It was entertaining, some parts were so real including the underground air raid shelter. You could feel snow on your face too! and they warn you about the rats!! The tour guide headphones in English was extremely helpful, the 5D films were not for people with motion issues but were very surreal. If you have mobility issues this tour is not for you as there is plenty of standing. I don't recall there being an elevator set up.
This was 50 minutes well spent. Taking you back through time and experience the history of Vienna. A 5D experience starts it all off where you fly high across Vienna and also along the streets experiencing the time machine.
The time of dance has upu swirling and turning on there waltzer and finally a reality horse and coach ride.
Tour guide excellent
Lots of fun for the kids and a great way to entertain yourself and get some of the history of Vienna! It starts with a 3-D tour of the beginnings of Vienna, a fast moving ride although you're stationary and don't leave the ground and then you work your way through time on various attractions. A few parts were a bit boring, but overall good way to spend an hour if it's extra cold, hot or rainy outside. The kids liked it a lot!
We really enjoyed Time Travel Vienna and it's not just for kids or teens. We are in our 50's! Time Travel was located directly across our hotel so it was very convenient for us and even helped us find our hotel on the narrow street more easily as there is a big sign. We loved the motion ride part of the tour and all the history about Vienna. The guide only speaks German but they give your a headset in English. Also nice was you can get your picture taken at the end of the tour for purchase and there is a small gift shop. We were there on Christmas Eve.
Exceptional! A short, about 50 minute visual history of the Habsburg empire and Vienna. The combination visual 3D visuals and narratives provided an informative summary of the period from the 1400s to today. The , other than German, language narratives were excellent and controlled by the guide as you walked through the exhibition. The narrative was consistent with the guide who also spoke english and could easily answer any questions. Great for all ages.
I was not sure what to expect from this tour. It is REALLY fun and super informative - my group of geeky museum loving adults who went in complaining it would all be kitsch came out saying they had a great time and kids would have fun as well. It was a great intro to the city and presented history in different formats there is more to it than the 4-D ride. Everywhere we went in the Altstadt even while reading signs in museums we felt so much more pre-informed on the people and events of Vienna.
