A great way to start a visit to Vilnius

We chose this as our first tour on arrival in Vilnius. I expected an introduction to the food in Lithuania, but this tour was much more. As we walked from venue to venue for various food and beverage tastings we were given a guided historical tour of Old-Town Vilnius, something I wasn't really expecting, so it was a huge value-added bonus. We tasted food and consumed a variety of beverages throughout the tour, including some that I wouldn't have otherwise tasted, mostly because I wouldn't have even known about them. We tasted rhubarb wine for example, something I would never have considered on my own; it turned out to be quite enjoyable. Because this was our first tour it helped make the remaining days more enjoyable and informative. Our tour was made up of three total people, my husband, me and one other, which made a private tour, given by an true local, Jelena Sozinova. I highly recommend this tour.

Good Tour

This was a good tour, great food and drinks, but with ALOT of walking on uneven sidewalks, streets, roads and at night. I think this tour should be during daylight hours, because of the uneven surfaces. We were a group of 5 originally, a member of the family of 3 had a hard time walking, so there was a delay. We don't blame them, as it was alot of walking on uneven surfaces. They ended up dropping out, cause of walking too much and other personal reasons. It was great to have a "private"tour after they left, but we felt like there should've been another food stop. With the delay on the tour, the tour ended ontime. Our tour guide was very nice, but probably needed to get home

Lovely food tour

My friend and I love a food tour and booked this one the day before. Viktorija our guide was delightful. There were only a small number of stops on the tour (four from memory) and the first stop was just an alcoholic beverage. It was a bit unusual that the third stop was when we had dessert (cheese ice cream and cheese candy) and the last stop is when each person was given five full meals each. Although the food was delicious, it was too much and felt wasteful as it was impossible to eat it all. It would have been better to have been given dishes to share and to have dessert at the end. We also would also have liked to hear more of the history of Lithuanian. We barely heard anything of WWII, the Soviets and how Lithuania functions today politically. In summary, lovely food and guide but could structure the tour a lot better.

Excellent tour which actually lasted 4 hours instead of 3. We enjoyed some really tasty authentic food and beer and plenty of it. We couldn't manage to eat everything at the last place. Our guide Vilija was very friendly and knowledgeable and sensitive to our needs. Highly recommended trip for a true taste of Lithuania.

Great. Very knowledgable and friendly guide. Food tour is definitely more of a historical view of Lithuanian food and traditional family fare and not necessarily contemporary foodie cuisine. Fun stop in the Lithuanian artist breakaway republic of Užupis. Overall Vilija was a friendly host and definitely a great tour to take. Probably better in summer. It was cold and rainy when we went in October.!
