Meet your guide and group of fellow athletic beer enthusiasts at one of two departure points and times: 7:30am at Union Station in DC for a 51-mile ride or 8:45am at East Falls Church Metro Station for a 39-mile ride.
Hop on your provided bike, clip on your helmet and, after a brief orientation, head out on the road. Travel along the paved, mostly-flat bike path that runs along the route once used by the historic Washington & Old Dominion Railway. Take in the scenery as you pass through Falls Church, Vienna and Herndon along the leafy path. Pause in Ashburn for a short breather and water break before getting into the more rural areas of Virginia, where you'll climb the hills of Leesburg and arrive in Purcellville.
Set your bikes aside and rest your legs as you sit down for a hearty meal at one of Purcellville's local restaurants, then head for the Adroit Theory craft brewery to taste some of their products.
If you've had enough biking for the day, climb into the waiting van for the trip back to the DC area. Alternatively, those who want to burn off their beers can cycle back.
