With limited time, this 2-hour walking tour will help you get your bearings in Tirana, taking in all the highlights of the Albanian capital. Learn the significance of historic landmarks such as the Skanderbeg’s Monument, the Pyramid, and the National Museum mosaics; learn about Tirana’s communist past as you stroll around the Blloku; and see sights including the Archaeological Museum, the Clock Tower, Ethem Bey Mosque, and the Presidential palace.
After meeting at Adriatik Hotel lobby, we will start our walking tour at the main square "Liria”. At the beginning of the tour, you will come across some fine specimens of the city's architecture dating back to the 1930's.
Visit the Roman Amphitheatre from the 2nd century AD. Built during the reign of Emperor Trajan, this is one of the biggest amphitheaters in the Balkans.
Walk down the seaside promenade enjoying the fresh air and the view of the largest bay in Albania. The Byzantine Chapel is our next stop. An early Christian chapel built on the side of the Amphitheatre, the chapel's western alcove preserves a unique polychromatic mosaic representing old, Christian iconography.

Founded in 17-nth century, Tirana became capital of Albania only on 1920. Its history stretches from ottoman period to communism area with an influence of modern architecture. During our walking tour in the main boulevard we will visit beautiful sights such as: Clock Tower, Et’hem Bey Mosque, Different Ministries buildings, City Hall, Pyramid of Tirana, President office, University of Tirana, Orthodox cathedral, Catholic cathedral, etc.
Next we will enter to the ex-communist BLLOK area which nowadays is transferred into an area full of modern bars and restaurants. A delicious albanian coffee is included on a cozy coffee shop.
After this walking we will transfer by car to the highlight of this tour, Bunkart 1. It is a cold war massive underground bunker located in the outskirts of Tirana. With 3000 sq meters underground space, it is an incredible museum showing the history of communism area in Albania. Inside we will spend around 1 hour.

We will have a walk through the vineyards and the fields, and then visit the 300 year old house of a famous family in there, Qyperlinj, a family which held important governmental post during the Ottoman Empire era.
A famous family is Fiska, \who now runs an agrotourism and produces its own wine and raki (traditional Albanian alcoholic drink). We will have a break in the premises of the winery to get introduced to the process of wine making and taste different types of wines and the two types of raki as well, the white and brown one. we will be able to accompany wine tasting with some nice dried figs,cheeses etc.

The source of the water is from Mali me Gropa Mountain, which has amazing views too. This waterfall is 30 meters high. In the summer months you can enjoy a swim. Apart from visiting the historical and ancient part of the city, there is the possibility also to have a hiking tour in the surrounding hills. The tour practically starts from the city center by having in this way the possibility to pass by the panoramic famous neighborhoods, Mangalem and Gorica, walking through the 2400 year old bridge of Gorica and then climb the hill.
