It is the youngest volcano in Central America and its last eruption happened in 1999, but don't worry its activity is monitored regularly. The Telica volcano is located 30 kilometers from the city of Leon and belongs to the Maribios mountain chain. It is 1060 meters high and its crater has a depth of 120 meters and 700 meters of diameter. The last violent eruption was in 1948.
