Pros: ultra convenient, one of the cheaper options on Viator, didn't have to think about anything at all, 100 would have been unable to plan something like this on my own. Jaipur was beautiful, the driver was patient, and the guide very informative. Cons: Small disconnects between the travel agency and the drivertour guide. No water provided even though it was listed in the inclusions. Only able to see the Jal Mahal at a distance, guide stated closed for renovations, do not know if this is always the case but the description definitely made it seem like we'd visit there. Neutral: a decent amount of guide identified shopping and vendors. lots of assurances you don't have to buy anything but you know how that goes. was kind of prepared for this and was happy to buy a few things, but was a bigger part of the tour than expected. Summary: Good for the money. Saw the same things as noted on several more expensive Viator trips. But was not quite as advertised.

We enjoyed thoroughly the 5 day tour with Swastik India Journeys. The ancient palaces and forts were amazing. We learnt so much about the India history. Karni and his staff have been very friendly and punctual. Our driver Sundeep was very polite, humorous, always on time and very skillful making the long distance driving comfortable. All local guides were knowledgable and fun with conversations. The hotels were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with choices. End of May is really hot but the great service made the trip easier. We highly recommend this tour.

Private Tour: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing | Jan 2018

Raj was a great guide and he focused on the things that made Delhi unique. His restaurant selection was amazing and Delhi's architectural marvels were breathtaking. I only wish he was a little more enthusiastic about Humayun's tomb because we almost missed it, but it was definitely a favorite of ours once we saw it at the last minute. Our guide was informative and nice.

Private Tour: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing | Oct 2017

Prepare to spend some time in traffic as distances in Delhi are considerable and rush hour is all day. Had an excellent guide, a very valuable part of the experience is how much perspective on India - history, religion, politics, daily life - you can get from your guide while in the car.

Private Tour: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing | Aug 2017

The tour guide and the driver were brilliant. However, the restaurant they took us to red onion or the new red onion, has made us very ill ruining the next few days of our holiday, we have even had to re-organise another tour we were booked to go on as we have been too ill to go. The online reviews for this resturant are very poor but as the tour doesn't state the resturant you will go to you cannot read up on it before hand. If you do book this tour, avoid the red onion.

Private Tour: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing | Apr 2017

Guide was very good---for the main part anyhow, and the basic nuts and bolts of the tour were fine. I had requested no shopping---but---this was disregarded---and to shops etc we went---might as well have talked to myself. I had been under the impression that entry fees etc had been paid for in tour costs----didn't stop the guide demanding that I cough up for some of them---your paperwork regarding this needs to be more specific and tell all----Tips---I realise that people on the fringes of the tourist industry in India -- including guides and drivers are poorly paid ---but a traveller gets sick and tired of paying for a supposed entry fees etc etc ,-- but then ----everybody and his dog ---including guides and drivers---have their hands hanging out for tips---even the guide putting the heavies on you to tip various people---JUST TAKES THE ENJOYMENT RIGHT OUT OF IT AND SPOILS WHAT COULD/SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD DAY----wake up to yourselves India---include--like many Asian countries---tips , gratuities etc in your prices---you can show these separately in price breakdown so that travellers know whats going on---but then---the boss would probably pocket them and the staff would be no better off---As it is --all smells like a big tourist rip off, and i am sure does nothing for India's reputation as a destination---but guess---who cares ??

India's Best Seller: Golden Triangle Tour | Mar 2017

We were happy with Swastik India Tour for managing this tour. We booked the four star option. The price is unbelievable but the cost of living in India is low except when you go to a good restaurant expect to pay the same as in US plus high taxes including air condition tax and service tax which is not the gratuity. The hotels included are local four stars but we have to say the one at Agra Ramada Plaza is very good. The Delhi Regent Grand is ok but not in nice area. The hotel in Jaipur was supposed to be Royal Orchid opposite BSNL office which according to description a true 4 to 5 star place but we were taken instead to Royal Orchid Central a noisy 2star to our observation. After our persistent protest we were transferred to Golden Tulip suite which we were very happy. You will be pleased to see all the marvelous sites but to to tolerate the long drives between towns and to accept the amount of trash and poor folks you see everywhere.

Our private driver Sumir is very good.

Private Day Trip to the Taj Mahal and Agra from Delhi | Mar 2017

The tour to the Taj and Agra Fort was great, but for over 250 AUS for 2 people, I didn't expect to be taken to shops and tried to be forced in to buying their over priced products. I booked a tour not a shopping trip. The shopping demos made me very uncomfortable. I will never buy things in these shops, and I also heard other tour groups complaint of his same experience.

Just stick to what the tour is paid for and then the guide and driver may have got a tip!

Private Tour: Old and New Delhi Sightseeing | Feb 2017

Excellent tour with good guide and driver.
Unfortunately my tour was on or close to Mahatma Gandhi's memorial day so some things were closed or too difficult to get close to.
If I had know that I would have changed the date of the tour.
Highlight of the tour was Humayuns Tomb and Jama Masjid.

Private Day Trip: Samode Village including Camel Ride and Royal Lunch at Samode Palace | Feb 2017

We are so glad we didn't skip on this tour and took our chance booking something outside of the city. The whole thing was outstanding: friendliest and knowledgeable guides, beautiful palace which I personally liked more than the ones in Jaipur, top notch service, lunch in garden setting, camel ride to the summer residence, etc. - everything was so memorable. Yes, you will be offered to buy local arts and crafts, but that is expected and no one was really pushy. Just remember to tip your helpers and they will go not just one but few extra miles for you. This is what they make living on and are genuinely thankful for everything.

India's Best Seller: Golden Triangle Tour | Jan 2017

If you want to see the main sites, and are limited for time this is the tour for you. The sites were amazing and I mean amazing they blew me away. The people are so lovely and didn't feel threatened walking round night markets on our own. You must accept the driving time is long but I can tell you its worth it. The tour guides in the main were ok but you really did need to listen . Beware of them taking you to acquaintances local restaurants they are expensive and you will get taken to carpet and jewellery stores they get money if you buy. I have just got to say our driver Gordon was just superb. Cant wait to go back.

The big let town for this tour was...

star-3gnilloc
Private Tour: 2-Day Ranthambore National Park from Jaipur | Nov 2016

The big let town for this tour was the organisation and communication. We felt completely in the dark about what was happening, and it would be so easy to rectify. We asked our hotel to confirm the tour and the pickup time, as we had not heard from the tour provider. Our pickup went fine, but when we arrived at Ranthambore our driver asked which hotel he should take us to. We had no idea! Eventually, after a phone call to the tour provider, he established which hotel it was, but it took some time to locate it. We had no idea what was included in the way of meals until the hotel told us. We also had no information about the pickups for the safaris, or any advice to take warm clothing. We also didn't know how to contact our driver, or when he was to collect us. The actual safaris were fun, and yes, we did see a tiger.

A simple sheet of paper with all the arrangements clarified would have made this a five star review.
