First of all, the operator didn't...

First of all, the operator didn't know that Shidu was closed for rennovation. We only found out when we were already there. But our driver Wan Sheng said not to worry as there is another nearby park, Liudu. It was only a few minutes away from Shidu. Since this is a self-guided tour we found it quite a challenge to where to buy the entrance tickets, find the toilet etc snce this is practically a no english zone. After deciding to get the basic ticket there were several options which we didn't understand which was to cross the suspended bridge, everyhing else went smoothly. The park had a beautiful scenery but that was about it. Nothing much to do except enjoy the quietness, the leisurely stroll and the cool nice weather. I think Liudu is more for a summer destination as we saw structures that looked like waterslides with no water though. We finished our navigation just in time for lunch and we were brought to a local restaurant. This was a nice way to try out local dishes. The pan-fried dumplings are a must! And to make up for thr missed tour Wan Sheng offered to stop at any area we'd like along the way. We did ask him to stop along thr road to look at some of the farmers' harvest particularly the bottle gourd which caught our eyes. Other harvests were fruits in season like fuji apples and persimons. We were brought back to our hotel safely.
