After hotel pickup in the morning from select sections of Beijing, your coach tour starts with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the biggest city squares in the world, named after the Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace).
Spend some time looking around, and then head to the Forbidden City, the city's former imperial palace, once home to Chinese emperors from the Ming dynasty to the Qing dynasty. You have 1.5 hours to explore the central axis, running from south to north. Then check out a local health center to learn about traditional Chinese medicine before visiting the Temple of Heaven, an imperial worship site where the emperors would pray for a good harvest.
Next up, head to a restaurant for a lunch of Chinese food, and then visit a pearl gallery to learn about its part in Chinese culture and history. Your last destination is the Summer Palace, about 30 minutes away and home to some of the best-preserved imperial gardens in the world.
Your tour then ends with return to Beijing for hotel drop-off.
