After pickup at your Brasov hotel, travel south by air-conditioned vehicle toward the famous Seven Ladders Canyon. Pass through picturesque countryside and villages, and after roughly 30 minutes on the road, hop out for your trek to the gorge.
Led by your instructor-guide, hike through dense forests and open meadows, soaking up Transylvania’s untouched beauty on route. Then, on arrival at the canyon, choose to either continue with your guide or to rest and enjoy the surrounding countryside. You may, for instance, want to tackle the 21 ziplines at a nearby zip line park (own expense).
If you opt to enter the canyon, follow your instructor-guide and head up into the rocky crevices. Climb a maze of metal boardwalks and suspended bridges, and ascend the seven near-vertical ladders through moss-coated fissures and past the waterfalls.
As you climb, get close up and splashed by the waters and enjoy awesome views of the towering rock walls and formations around you.
At the top, emerge into forest and choose from two return routes — a 1.5-hour trail or tougher 2- to 3-hour track through forests and glades — back to your vehicle. Your tour then finishes with a drop-off at your Brasov hotel.
