Edith was a fantastic guide and made the tour fun from the moment we meet her. The tour was made very easy with good information about the castles, local area and all Romania! Althought Rasov couldnt be visited as has closed, Edith took us to a loverly fortified church in a small village. Would definitely recommend!

A friend and I were in the area for 2 full days, 9/28/19-9/29/19. We wanted to make the most of it, so scheduled this for our first full day. This is a long tour day (10 hrs +/-), especially on the weekends since traffic makes getting between destinations so slow. Bogdan was our guide. We would definitely ask for him by name if we came back. Even though it took so long with the traffic, he wanted to make sure we saw and experienced everything. He was very knowledgeable. When we would enter an area or room, he would share information about it and let us explore on our own. If he saw we were interested in something, he would come tell us about the art/architecture/furniture/landmark-whatever it was. He was a wealth of knowledge and seemed to know how much to share. I would imagine we would have to spend a few days at each site to have time to learn all he knew. His English was exceptional. He was sensitive to when we needed comfort or food breaks and let us know before leaving one area what our options were and how long it would be until the next opportunity. It was late when we got back into Brashov. We had a restaurant recommended to us by many, but it was not close to the hotel. After letting us drop off our purchases at the hotel, he offered to drive us to the restaurant. Bogdan was wonderful and certainly exceeded our expectations. The private tour (for 2 in our case) was extremely worth the price and included all entrance fees and no lines (even though it was a busy weekend). We were very impressed with the price, how the reservations worked, and especially our guide. When reserving, I put in the "special instructions" box, "pick up at - Hotel lobby". The night before our tour, I received a text saying, "Hi! I'm Bogdan, your guide for tomorrow. See you at 9 am at Hotel -." I don't know how it could have been any better. If somehow they could learn to control traffic :-)! If you have the option of taking this on a weekday rather than a weekend, that would be better. But that is not something Viator or your guide can control.

Castles, Palaces & Dracula

This was a fantastic tour. Silvio was a great guide and very knowledgeable; he explained the history of each place visited and ensured that we had plenty of time to see everything. Peles Palace is amazing and the extended tour with a smaller group was ideal. It was interesting to learn the history of Vlad Tepes and how it is related to Dracula. Silvio made suggestions for lunch and snacks which were perfect; lingos is fantastic.

This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Dan was very, very knowledgeable about Romanian history and was a joy to travel with. He treated us to some very nice singing along the journey. Peles Palace is a 100% must. This tour is a must if you visit Brasov
