Pack a picnic lunch (own expense), and after pickup from Bristol Temple Meads railway station, travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Tynings in Somerset’s beautiful Mendip Hills.
At the stables, gear up for your ride, and hop on a pony. Your trek is excellent for beginner and experienced riders alike, so your pony will suit your skills. Please bring appropriate rain and wind gear.
Then, ride into the Mendips behind your guide. Follow quiet bridle paths and trails through forests and open moorland, soaking in the scenery and tranquility on route.
After your ride, continue with a walking hike. Trek through the ancient woodlands of Kings Wood, once part of a medieval hunting forest, and climb Wavering Down before ascending the distinctively shaped Crook Peak.
Savor your picnic (own expense) with a glass of Champagne on this rugged ridge as you admire the stunning views over the Somerset countryside.
Then, following your hike, relax in Weston-Super-Mare. Soak in the traditional atmosphere of this seaside resort, and if you wish, enjoy fairground amusements such as the bumper cars and arcades (own expense).
Finally, relax on the sandy beach with refreshments before concluding with a drop-off at Bristol Temple Meads.
